Certain fields in the government consist of lieing, decieving, and essentially analysing how to kill mass population or destroy internal infrastructers. Valid life is so much more than death, but in some qwerky way, death is what brings out the most extreme emotions of love, loyalty, commraderie. It brings out the deepest depths of the human soul. What is moral today? Is killing wrong if it is to save other's lives? Is lieing wrong to protect other's? How do you answer those questions? Is it right to committ a wrong for life? Is it okay to kill to preserve another's life?

Awesome question. It's too complex for any one person to have answers for another. I think each person has to look inside themselves to discover what they think. It's true--government is messed up. Our own has done so much damage, thinking we know what is best for everyone else. But then again, the Lord wants us to have compassion and mercy. I think the problem is that even with a moral heart and good intentions, you can't save the world. You can only live your own life and try to be a blessing to others. You really have to analyze each situation seperately sometimes.

Sometimes, the line gets blurred between good and evil. I think many of the evil things being done in the world are by people who think that the end justifies the means.

For example, would it be a sin to kill Hitler as a helpless baby? You'd save millions of lives, but you also be killing an innocent baby. There are good arguments for both sides. If you look at the end result, millions of lives saved, it seems great. If you look at the means you had to take to get there, it doesn't seem so great.

Some would say abortion is a sin but the death penalty is just and righteous.

There are so many shades of gray in this world. Sometimes doing something illegal can be morally right. Sometimes you can do hideous things within the law.

The fact is, it all comes down to what you believe. Some religions believe that it is fair and just to punish the wicked with death. Some think that killing a person for any reason is evil. Who can say who is wrong and right?

First your use of the word sinful indicates a moral base to your question,

I'll use Jesus because he is respected by all religions.as a purveyor of truth.

He told the soldiers to do harm to no man. Fast forward that to the 21st century and lets tell the CIA analysts to do harm to no man.

What can you construe as harm? Something damaging? It could be lying injurious contacts death etc. Jesus said to not do these things.

As for killing to save someone else. Again that is something that is twisted. Better is the end of a thing than the beginning. The one that is killed is better off than the one that did the killing.

Who are you helping the one that lives or the one that dies.

Morality, is almost dead today, yes, killing to save others can be justified, especially if it's say one life for many. Abortion however is wrong, unless both the mother and child will absolutly die if the birth goes through.

You can't generalize so much.

These are questions that each individual must answer to themselves.

What is justified in my eye might not be in yours

Meaning if your brother was pressed by the system, and finally snaped and decides to make a statement by bombing a gov't building and I shoot him before he can detonate the bomb,...

I will feel I was right and justified.

You will feel the system killed your brother for fighting for his beliefs.

You will then start where he left off and the cycle continues.

You see? everybody must decide for themselves what is just.
