Yes! I know exactly what you are talking about. I believe I have waged spiritual warfare against myself and my spiritual side won and now I do battle each day against evil. I knew that I had weaknesses like we all do, but I came to realize that our choices empower good or evil. Even if it is a small action, if it is immoral than all of evil is stronger. If your action is for good, the power of good is stronger. When I see evil in the world it only strengthens my resolve to do good and empower good. I do believe life is an epic battle of good vs. evil. I believe Christ came to earth to do battle because God the Father knew he couldn't ask us for such a sacrifice of ourselves if he wasn't willing to have his own child fight and die in the war. God also knew that his son would be the perfect example and guide for us of what good truly is.
I had this revelation a couple of years ago while I was thinking about war and I saw a vision of Arlington Cemetary and all of the crosses and it struck me that Christ was indeed a warrior, too. It was so profound a feeling and I feel blessed. This also makes you realize how fortunate we are to have our soldiers in our armed forces. They are truly a force for good and should have our profound respect for what they do. God bless!

Yes. at least once a week. First of all get on that "helmet of Salvation to protect your mind. 2nd sharpen your sword(the Word of God) I have found this to be a protection for your mind also. The more good teaching you can get and become well rounded in the Word the more protection you will have.
The rest of the armor of God is pretty self explanatory. The most basic way that you can wage war in the Spirit is to get under authority so someone who understands about Spiritual warfare. In the meantime I would plead the blood of Jesus on your home and family often.

The human spirit is no more real if your a Christian than for anyone else. This is the biggest problem with your stupid Christian, you think your so right and so much better than ever one else because your bullsh!t made up bible tells you so. You and the other Christians are a big reason why human beings aren't evolving their minds and achieving a truer connectedness to all living things and our universe. You idiots think someone 'gave' you this earth and all the creatures on it to do what you wish with. So what do you idiots do? You sh!t on it with your excessive waste from your excessive consumption of what this planet has to offer us all. You truly as so not even close to being a true spiritual being when you speak of your spirit, war, and battleground in the same stupid paragraph. Wake up you ********!

My mother is a devout Christian, and she said a lot about spiritual warfare. Every day, she would pray that she be covered in spiritual armor. She would bless the doors of her home with oil, and pray for the souls of her friends, she would make an effort to learn my friend's names so she could pray for them.
I think that the best way to wage spiritual warfare is to just keep praying, and continue to talk to others about the Lord. That way, you are winning souls for the Lord.

As Christians, we face spiritual warfare everyday. Satan is not interested in a soul that is already his, he is only concerned with those seeking God or who have committed themselves to God. Satan prayes on our weaknesses, fears and insecurities. He uses any angle of attack he can, especially when we are low or faced with the difficulties of everyday life. It is extreemly difficult to live in a carnal world especially if you are a Christ centered person.
The only way to defend ourselves against a spiritual attack is to firstly pray and ask God for His protection everyday. Secondly we need to immerse ourselves ih His Word so we can discern the truth. Remember satan is the father of lies and he uses deceit to accomplish his goal. He knows God's Word better than most 'Christians' and uses it against them because he adds subtle twists to the Word that confuse many. Look how he tempted Jesus in the desert. What satan said was true, but he used ever so slight twists in interpretation to try trap Jesus.
In essence, knowing the Word of God and constant prayer are the best ways to wage spiritual warefare and succeed.

We battle it everyday. It has nothing to do with being a Christian or a Hindu or a Muslim or a Buddhist. God is a spirit that exists in each of us. The battle between good and evil starts in our own mind. Many people have realized this and battle their own self for their own betterment. Jesus himself stated "Lo, look not here nor look not there, for the kingdom of God is within you".
Battling our own spirit gives us the strength and the discipline to stand up to evil. Every religion talks about this.
Hope this helps. :)

spiritual warfare is all around you. having the love for God strong enough to stand up for him.
i would say that it's a form of spiritual warfare for some of us christians to bite our tongues while answering some of the questions here on yahoo, and actually giving an answer that would be pleasing to God rather than telling some to leave or stoop to their level by name calling or cursing back.

Yes, I have. But not in the Christian spectrum.
See a friend of mine was being destroyed by a powerful person who I did not know. They were attacking him spiritually. At the time I was a very strong Wiccan. I joined him in a spiritual quest to battle this person.
It took weeks to get this person to leave him alone. But in the end we won. This person hasn't bothered him since. I have ensured it.

yeah - it's called the war in Iraq
No WMD's
None of the 9/11 terrorists were from Iraq
Yet there we are stirring up a hornets nest, I suspect it's because of the evangelical christian george bush's belief in the "end times"
Pre emptive war could have been better spent on a country with actual weapons don't you think, like say north korea.
