I don't know what is the matter with people these days. Its like shopping is their religion so the shopping centre is church.

Well, I was in the centre with my grandchildren(2of them). They got a bit loud and I took them aside, sat them down and gave them a little talking to.

Security came and told me that they were a fire risk!!!!

When I ignored him, he went and got his superiors, and they all shouted at me. Threatened to blacklist me.

HOW RIDICULOUS WAS THAT?

Trouble is that these places are private property, it's not like the high street, so they can make up any rules they like. It's not the rule of law. You can't satisfy them: can't wear a hoodie when its cold, can't take your shirt off if its hot.

My husband got in trouble at the railway station last week for using the Ladies'. They had locked the Gents', he's an old man with prostate trouble. I checked it out for him, no Ladies using it. The security people were quite abusive

I am fed up with all the little Hitlers around in this country.

They make you wear a shirt in public areas, it's kind of like a law, or rule. Imagine a 300 pound man walking around with no shirt on, or whatever you feel is ... insulting, or repulsive possibly. Since they would be sued for being prejudiced or something, they have to enforce this on all people that walk around without a shirt.

pretty pathetic, yes on a power trip. If it wasn't posted on the main door to the shopping centre that you went to, I would have said no. I would have caused a big scene, sued for mental stress and anguish, and won. :)

Get some cop on.
A shopping centre is not the place to be walking around without a shirt.
Get a bit of class.

Its not very pleasant to be walking around with your shirt off in a place of shopping. At a park, yes, but not in shops.

No power trip he was just enforcing the rules that he is paid to do. I'm sure he could have cared less. But you must have seen the signs on the entrance doors.."no shirt.....etc" what's your excuse.

If your body is 1% less good than Brad Pitt's that security guy was doing all the other shoppers a favour. Why do you think anyone else wants to see your pale, feeble little torso?

why didnt u have a shirt on? if u were on the beach or in the park i could understand your issue, but in a shopping centre, it's not really very nice.

Most places require that anyone entering an establishment be fully clothed including shirt and shoes.

The next person who says "no shirt, no shoes, no service" is cruising for a bruising. I've never ever heard of that, sounds like more American nonsense to me.
