I ordered a big screen TV through BestBuy.com.. It came with a free 15 inch LCD tv, value 299 dollars.. After a month, I got an e-mail that I would not get the free tv due to them not being able to get the tv to me in a timely manner.. I called Bestbuy and told them I was patient and could wait.. Nothing.. I told them I would take the free offer they had this week.. Nothing.. They told me there was nothing they could do, I was out of a free tv.. I told them they could come and pick up th big screen tv I bought (and already paid in full).. They asked why.. Anyone else had problems with them before. I have been going to Bestbuy for about 8 years, NO MORE.. (Sorry, have to vent my angers)

A couple years ago I purchased a Sprint Wireless Phone and it was to come with a $50 mail in rebate. My sales agent was very helpful and she put all the info together for me and put all the rebate info in an envelope and all I had to do was mail it in.I did mail it only to receive a letter saying that I had purchased the phone after the rebate ended which was not true. I even went back and had the Best Buy Store call them and I thought it was all taken care of only to receive another letter that stated the same thing. I went back again and the girl that sold the phone to me was no longer working there and they were very rude and did nothing to help me out. I will NEVER trust Best Buy again after the manager could of easily taken care of me with a $50 Best Buy Gift Card but he chose not to do anything or even apologize. I hope anyone who reads this will boycott Best Buy or beware of any rebate or special offer. I hope the person who asked the question will pursue his case with the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Protection Agency! I feel bad for you since you got it worse than I did but please keep going after them. I am curious if they did come back and pick up the Big Screen TV? They have a horrible customer service department and figure they will count on the disgruntled customer to give up trying on any promised special offers by Best Buy.

I had a similar issue with CompUSA last February when I bought a new computer. They screwed up and sold me the wrong computer that didn't have the rebate of $250.00 although the two seemed identical. The store three times failed to catch the error and were sold out of the rebated one. I complained to the store manager and was told they would make it right. Over several weeks I kept calling them and saying it was bad customer service and threatened to write the Better Business Bureau. I got the run around and promises to call me back with a store credit. I had to call the store manager every week before he finally gave me a credit to my credit card for what the rebate amount should have been. If you complain and document everything..HAVE YOUR RECEIPT cause they kept trying to pull the "you need your receipt" ploy. And finally after 3 months of phone calls I got my $250.00 credit. Was it worth it? YES. SO complain to the store manager..if he doesn't fix it go higher up the corporate ladder..look for the store online to complain too. And don't give up. The squeaky wheel gets the oil!

First; call the District Manager and explain what happened and let him / her know up front the store management staff wasn't willing to solve this issue.
Second: Write to (you can even email) the Better Business Beaurue (? not sure if spelled right) and file a consumer complaint for "false advertising and unfit service.
From past experience and going to the BBB, I seem to get a satisfaction to my issues with retail and or other business that failed or messe up to a certain degree.
REMEMBER; The cutome r "Is always right".

I also had problems with Best Buy. I had purchased a high end DVD player. Within a couple of weeks a of purchase, I began to have problems with the image quality. I took the DVD player back to Best Buy. They said that would repair, and have it back to me within 2 weeks. The 2 weeks came, and nothing. I went to the store and inquired and they informed me that it was not ready, that it would be ready in a couple of days. To make a long story short. After almost 6 weeks of checking and complaining to the service Dept. I went to the store manager, and complained to him. They ended up giving me a brand new DVD Player. I agree with you all. Best Buy Sucks, and I will no longer buy any electronics from them.

Yes, I have had problems with them a couple times.
The one time, what solved my problem was going directly to the store manager (not department) and venting. He got me into a new computer that day.
I don't know which store shipped your order (normally they ship from a store) but if you can find out and go there, you might be in luck.
Good luck. I'd keep on corporate if nothing else.

I have had problems with others in the past, but bestbuy has been great.
In fact, when I shop there I often get unexpected gifts from the management.
Report them to your state attorney general.
that is what i did and i got resolution.

I don't like best buy too. Their employees are mean and unaccomodating. I like Circuit City better. Never stop complaining to them about this. Tell them that you will report them to the better business bureau. And I hope they will give you the LCD TV that you deserve.
