Getting my songs from my old computer to my new one?

I have an iPod and I want to get all of my songs from my old computer onto my new laptop. Does anyone know how?

Connect the two pc's with a LAN, enable sharing of files and then copy them from one to the other.

burn them on cd or dvd then drag and drop them on the new pc or hook up your old hard drive to your new pc and use slave then search it and copy all the songs. either one will work
