be honest and tell him you can't see him anymore...it'll hurt, but better honesty than guessing...

If you are done with him there is only one way to deal with it without leading him on and confusing him. Tell him very matter of factly that you do not feel about him like you used to and are breaking up with him. Put your guts on or you can turn this into a nightmare. If he continues to call or drop by, tell him the same thing again and say goodbye. Excuses or listening to his suffering can only prolong the pain.

Why do you have to see someone else? If you are afraid to break his heart, then don't. But if you really have to see someone else, talk to your boyfriend first and let him know what's going on. Being honest is soooo much easier than keeping up with a lie. Somebody will know and rat you out. So talk to him.

No matter what his heart will be broken, you can't help that you don't have feelings for him and want to see other people, even if you've been committed to one guy for so long and his heart might become really broken. i hate to burst your bubble, but if he has feelings for you and his heart is involved, then you will break it. not because you want to or because there is a choice, but because that is the end result. Also, do not underestimate what effect it may have on you. but, if being in the relationship is not good for you, then you will end up breaking up anyway because fights will begin for no reason and rather than having a chance to end on a good note now, you will definately end on a sour note if you hold on too long.

Well if your gonna cheat..... at least be honest about it.....Tell the boyfriend that your interested in someone else.
It will probably hurt him...but you think your doing something right for yourself.
Just do it quickly and cleanly....make sure you dont give him any false hope about maybe if it doesnt work out....you'll give him a call or something dumb like that.

Tell him the truth. In life someone has to be hurt. Do what is good and right for the both of you, especially for you. You don't want to be with someone simply because you feel sorry for him or you don't want to hurt him. Is it really fair to him or to your new boyfriend. Tell the truth.

Stop leading him on !Your only making it drag out longer making it worse.Tell him you want to be single, it's just not what you want. He will get over it.Thats life.
