Had too much fun in the sun? If you're more burned than beautiful, try this to calm down your red skin: Soak a clean washcloth in milk and wring out the excess liquid. Place the cloth on your burned skin and leave it there for 10 minutes. The lactic acid in the moo juice will ease the burning and redness.

Depending on how bad the sunburn is, you may not be able to stop it from peeling. I would suggest however that you pick up a container of aloe vera and apply liberally. Make sure that it is 100 percent pure aloe vera to get the best results for moisturizing. If you have access to any type of burn cream you can use that as well in my opinion. I find that any brand bought in a pharmacy or reputable business is fine, Also once you have healed from your sunburn, I would suggest a sunscreen with at least spf 45 in it. check the labels as some are for water exposure and others are for when your not in the water. waterproof sunscreens only last so long and usually must be applied at least a half hour before your going to go into the water and then reapplied after being in the water for so long. Plz make sure you follow the directions for the best protection no matter what kind you buy.. Good luck and I hope your sunburn heals quickly.

Cortisone cream, which can be bought over the counter can really help with sunburned skin, which is really inflamed skin due to solar irritation. However, u should try and prevent burns as your chance of getting skin cancer goes up significiantly after only a couple sunburns.

The skin is damaged and then it sloughs off as it dies so there's nothing you can really do about it. You can make it look less unsightly by bathing long enough to saturate it and then rubbing it with a towel to slough it off faster, but not too much as you will make it worse rather than better. Use plenty of moisturizer. And remember this the next time you go out without sunblock!

I know i just try to keep my skin moist which will keep it from peeling, i use allovara cream, a sun burn sucks out all the natual oils in the spot you got a sun burn on your skin, so by keeping it moist you are restoring oils to it.

keep baby lotion on the skin and stay out of the sun for a few days to let the skin adjust and you will be fine and when you take a shower or bath use lotion to keep your tan.

It is too late, once tissue is burned, it will peel. To try to minimize it, drink tons of water, and apply a hydrating lotion...Too bad....be careful! Skin cancer is no fun...Take it from me!!

Take a colloidal oatmeal bath. Aveeno makes a great product specifically for this. Good luck.

I went to Bayfest last weekend and got so sunburnt. I tried aloe vera on it but its so sticky. Instead, I used St.Ives vitiam E cream. It goes on creamy, smells great and really soothed my skin. I really like it, alot better then aloe vera!

Immediately apply a thick, creamy lotion to your skin. It may not prevent all peeling, but it sure helps.
