Atheists don't have beliefs. Thats why they are atheists. If they believed in something then they would be a certain religion or something.

Atheism is the belief that there is no God, and that Religions are hogwash.
Christians and Atheists usually get along very poorly. However, devout Atheists and devout Christians have much in common, though both would be loathe to admit it.
Both are 100% sure that their answer is the right one.
Both base this completely on faith.
Both will never change their mind, no matter what.
Both think the other are deluded.
In my opinion, they are both sides of the same coin.
If you're curious, the term for someone who isn't sure one way or another is an Agnostic. Agnostics are not sure if there is a god or not, but they're willing to be proven wrong.

Atheism is not a belief. It's a LACK of belief in the unprovable. I am a Scientific Pantheist who believes in science, nature, and the natural course of life...not fantastical ideas of a god or creator. I honestly believe that religion is a primitive and naive manmade concept...but I do feel that everyone should have the right to freedom of religion / philosophy. I respect all beliefs, even those who disrespect my own. I believe we need to focus on reality and the health of the planet and the environment...not some unseen force that cannot be proven to exist. Religion has only divided man and the real test of human existence will be the future of the earth.

Being an Atheist, here is EVERYTHING:
Atheist
A person who does not believe in a supreme being. Most of these may be classified under the following definitions:
1) Aggressive atheist: attacks other religions and is often intolerant to the follower of other religions. Often brings up the insensitive fact that faith is the "complete acceptance of a God without proof," somewhat equatable to ignorance, which, among other things, is the "complete acceptance of an idea without proof."
2) Passive/Tolerant atheist: does not believe in a supreme being but accepts that others do. Does not usually bring up the above fact unless attacked for being an atheist.
Not to be confused with taoism or confucianism, which are philosphies and do not mention gods or the afterlife. Atheism is a state of nonbelief. One can be a Taoist Atheist, which would be a person who seeks to understand and learn from nature and does not believe in a god.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Atheism
There are two kinds of atheism: strong (positive) atheism and weak (negative) atheism. The difference between these two is basically that a weak atheist doesn't believe in God, while a strong atheist believes in no God.
Weak atheism is essentially the same as [agnosticism]. It states that since we have no proof of a God, we cannot know for sure that one exists. Strong atheism states that since we live in a scientific world where the existence of things is determined solely by their observability, we cannot assume anything unobservable to exist. God isn’t observable, therefore he doesn’t exist (cf. Occam’s Razor). This doesn't mean that an atheist wouldn't WANT to believe in God, it merely means that he has no REASON to believe in it/him.
Strong atheists often question the special treatment weak atheists – and theists – give to religion. If they believe that the tooth fairy or Santa Claus do not exist, why are they willing to give God a benefit of the doubt?
Strong atheism is often equated with religion since it takes a strong stance on the issue. This is, however, fallacious. Religion is not based on rationality, and strong atheists value rationality over fantasy. Therefore atheism is not parallel with religion.

"Imagine theres no heaven its easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living life in peace
You
You may say that Im a dreamer but Im not the only one
I hope someday youll join us and the world will live as one..."
Atheism is the belief that there is no god. No heaven, no hell, only us, right now. Can you imagine to think this is all there is, this world, our families, the only thing that goes on is our children, Like all things in nature, every thing is born, lives, and dies. They believe in the higher self sometimes but more than that is not something that they connect with. Its true if all were atheist there would be less to fight about and it would be better for mankind.
Personally I do not think its necessary to denounce faith to have peace however I do believe it is possible for me to respect your beliefs and have my own, and like you in spite of our differences.

Atheism is a belief in a specific way, they do not believe in God or the Devil. Their decisions etc, are based on sources, knowledge and rationality without any belief in a god like being. Thus the belief of heaven or hell also disppears and religion. In communism, religion is banned thus everyone was technically an atheist. they believe you live this life and thats it...

Atheism, in its broadest sense, is the absence of theism (the belief in the existence of deities, and most commonly of God). This encompasses both people who assert that there are no gods and those who make no claim about whether gods exist or not. Narrower definitions of atheism, however, typically label as atheists only those people who affirmatively assert the nonexistence of gods, classifying other nonbelievers as agnostics or simply non-theists.
Although many of those who identify themselves as atheists share common skeptical concerns regarding evidence for spiritual or supernatural claims, citing a lack of evidence of deities' existence, conscious atheism is inspired by a variety of rationales, ranging from the personal to the philosophical to the social to the historical. Additionally, while there is a tendency among self-described atheists toward secular philosophies such as humanism, naturalism and materialism, there is no single ideology that all atheists adhere to, nor does atheism have any institutionalized rituals or behaviors.
Although atheism is often equated with irreligiosity in Western culture, not all atheists are necessarily irreligious or nonspiritual. Some formal religious beliefs, such as several forms of Buddhism, have been described as atheistic due to their lack of any participating deities, these beliefs are not generally identified as such by adherents. Atheism is also sometimes erroneously equated with antitheism (opposition to theism) or antireligion (opposition to religion), despite many atheists not holding such views.

Atheists don't believe in a God/gods/"higher power".
Some of them don't as a matter of faith, or belief, some don't because "it just doesn't make sense", and some look at the facts , interpret them, and see no divine power controlling everything.
Other than that, there's not much else. Atheists don't have holy books, or churches, or anything that ties them together. There's liberal atheists and conservative atheists, Republicans and Democrats. There are terrible atheists out there (Russia's Communist government for instance), and some great ones (Marie Curie and Sigmund Freud).
And oh yeah, most atheists DO have a moral code (for many, it's the Golden Rule, for me, it's "Don't do stuff that harms others, allow stuff that doesn't harm others")

Atheists believe that everything has come about through chance and natural evolution, with no guiding hand (God). The believe that after death, there is nothing. No heaven, no hell, no nothing. You just cease to exist. So it is surprising that some of the most humanitarian people in history were atheists, and some of the most brutal and bloody were followers of either Christianity or Muslems. Interesting, huh?

Atheists do not believe in God. Thay have no religion. Some believe that science has the answer to what is unknown. It is not easy to remain a true atheist... It would mean to deny all traditions that you were normally brought up with be they Muslim or Christian, or whatever. It would also mean to reject myth, folklore and local superstitions.
