Well, in the sense that the word "religion" probably comes from the Latin "religare," meaning, "to tie fast, or bind together," then it must be true.

You have all these fanatics tying bombs to themselves to kill others. Yep. I guess it is the only true "religion" then.

Lets take all the religions and bring them down to the simplest they can get. Then look at them. Wow! They are all the same! I guess Islam is a true religion, but not the only one.

It's funny how every religion SCREAMS they're the ONLY true religion and everyone else is going to Hades. I personally am a Christian who believes everyone has the right to their own beliefs ... because I want the SAME respect. Leave me to my beliefs and don't shove yours down my throat. Wish more people in the world were that way.

John 1:1-2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are from God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this the Spirit of God is known: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit which does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard that it is coming, and now is already in the world.

Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and they will deceive many.

You've got it all wrong buddy. After all, it is not that a religion is "true". It is your faith in your god. That is what guides you, not your religion. And what is faith? The definition as taken from the Merriam-Webster dictionary is "firm belief in something for which there is no proof". So based on that, and many other things which we could debate another time, there is no true religion. Sorry!

I did not see where you suggested a proof of one position or the other?

Mohammed put himself in a fairly serious delemna, He tells Jews and Chrisitans to check their Bibles to see what he says it true. So he claimed they can check

The Bibles we have have the New Testament quoted by early church fathers almost every single verse before the second century and so we have essentially the Bible of Mohammeds day and they do not match. So in the end Mohammed suggested a test and then failed it.

The modern claim that its because Bibles are now corrupted ignores that we have many many very early fragments and almost every verse of the New testament quoted by early church fathers. Therefore I am left with the Old and New Testament as substantially more reliable and will stick with them.

There are many religions (as an example - Gal.1:13 below, the Jews’ religion), but one faith (Eph.4:5 below).

Eph.4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

When we are baptized into Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit we BECOME a “new creature” (2 Cor.5:17, Gal.6:15 below). We become, individually, as well as collectively, the living body of Christ (Col.1:24 below). We become the church of God (1 Cor.10:32 below, 1 Cor.1:2, 1 Cor.15:9, Gal.1:13), the one faith (Eph.4:5 above).

2 Cor.5:17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he IS a new creature (Gal.6:15 below): old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Gal.6:15For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature (2 Cor.5:17 above).

Col.1:24Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for His body's sake, which IS the church (1 Cor.10:32, Gal. I:13, 1 Cor.1:2).

1 Cor.10:32Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God (Eph.2:16 below).

Eph.2:16 And that he might reconcile BOTH (Jews and Gentiles - 1 Cor.10:32 above) unto God in one body (the church of God - 1 Cor.10:32 above) by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

Gal.1:13For ye have heard of my (Paul's) conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God (1 Cor.10:32 above), and wasted it.

Because everyone is different. People have different beliefs but that doesn't make anyone wrong. We have the right to choose which religion is right for us. I know Islam isn't right for me and I'm sure Wicca isn't right for you, but that doesn't make us wrong or bad people.
