The pain lasts about 5 seconds and then disappears - usually brought on by sharp movements like sneezing, jogging, etc. My doctor thought this might have something to do with a goiter. Any idea what is going on?

no insensitive comments please. I read somewhere that it could be ice pick headaches, which migraine sufferers usually get. unfortunately i do get migraines, but these sharp pains i dont know what they are.

Please could anyone in the medical profession give any clues on this? I am staying in Canada as a visitor while I wait for my work permit, residency and medical card. It costs me a lot of money to see the doctor in the meantime, so I'd be very grateful if someone could shed some light on this. Thanks.

In my opinion, any I do have many of them, you have what is called in the medical community, a headache. Usually prescribed is a new medicine called aspirin. Take two and ask another question in the morning. No really, you should really ask the advice of a qualified doctor... A goiter sounds kinda ridiculous. But, again, just my opinion.
