I'm 35 and don't live at home, but every time we're together, she starts hitting me after her 11th or 12th Pabst. What should I do?

sounds like you either need to buy a gun, or a box of condoms.

I don't know what a Pabst is, but I think I would leave after her first one.

Hitting her back is not a good idea... if you are really 35.. then she must be at least in her 50's..

Sometimes when people get drunk they forget who they are and who you are.. why is she hitting you? Are you being mean and rude to her?

Maybe she doesn't want you there and you should not be there...it is just that simple..

Don't be around her when she's drinking, and if you can't avoid it, leave. Don't hit back; it will probably make it worse.

Also, 12 beers is a lot! It sounds like your mom may be an alcoholic and need some help with her drinking problem. AA might help a lot!

Stop taking Pabst with you when you go to visit. Try taking her coffee from starbucks and donuts.

FORGET the directions to her house!! Don't let her and yes you are 35 you are letting her. Then send her a punching bag for mothers day via UPS no card just a pix of you and write I am not a punching bag you hag.

Seems pretty straight forward to me. this is called battery, and it is a crime. it doesnt matter who is hitting you; mother, husband, stranger - it is a crime.

#1 - dont be around her when she is drinking. dont let her drink around you or in your home.

#2 let her know that you will no longer tolerate her hitting you. no apology will be acceptable.

#3 notify your local law enforcement the next time it happens.

i think u should just say, "mom, i love u and i enjoy spending time with you but i cant keep letting u get away with hitting me." then u could say either, "next time u do it, im sry, but i'll hav to call the cops..." or "im going to hav to stay away from u for awhile; i think that would be best for both of us."

good luck

Sounds to me like your mom is an alcoholic! Tell her not to hit and if she continues have her arrested. It is battery no matter how you look at it. Good Luck!

At this point stay away from her and if she continues to see you and do this I would warn her that the next time with all due respect she better have dental insurance !
