We got married at the Town Hall and never had a church wedding. We want to get married in a Church for our 15th wedding anniversary.(we are married 13 years now)
Is it okay if we don't use our original anniversary date? We were married in January, but I thought I would like to have an outside reception.(we live in the North East) I just can't make up my mind.

Definitely! Do what makes you happy. Instead of making an anniversary you could say "in honor of your marrige" or something like that and leave the whole time thing out of it. Good for you! I hope everything is beautiful!

Go ahead use the new date as ur anniversary.. once you get the joy of a church wedding you will forget all about that jp.. you will just be married 15 years on that date.... enjoy and pick whatever month and date you want.

Sure you guys can do whatever you want. I don't recommend an outdoor reception in the northeast, the weather is too unpredictable. Talk to your husband and see what he wants to do.

Do as you will, but I think it would be a very special memory if it were on your wedding date.

Does "He" have any say in this? Have you considered asking "Him" what "He" would like instead of us?
