Do yo remember the "flowbe"???? Tried cutting my hair with that once. Not a pretty site. If you dont remember...it was a cutting attachment you attached to your vacunm cleaner. It was supposed to cut your hair and at the same time...not leave hair all over the place...lol....One of those moments where you you really have to wonder..."what was I Thinking".

Oh yes. Just a trim. I snipped just a little at a time, holding small strands of hair between two fingers and cutting on the outside of the fingers. You need a really sharp, small pair of scissors, a razor shears and a thinning shears. The back is the hardest. I don't recommend doing it, especially if you have a job to go to.

I ALWAYS cut my own hair, and do a great job everytime. Though I admit, there was alot of trial and error when I was learning. But being a guy I could shave it off, lol. I haven't had a professional hair cut in over 10 years.

Yes, many years ago. In fact, it was the last haircut I got in my life, once it was corrected (as best she could) by a professional. I got into a temper tantrum, and started hacking at it with a pair of scissors, just because my (now ex-) husband loved my long hair. Of course I made a terrible mess of it. The hairdresser up the street did her best, but the result was so short and boyish, and I so hated the pictures of myself at that time that I've never had another haircut at all, but just let it grow.

Yes I have and it was a disaster. I tried cutting my bangs and they ended up all jagged and uneven. I was like, six though so I don't know if I would be able to do it better now.

Complete Disaster! Having a professional do your hair is worth your money.

I've tried cutting my hair and ended up getting it a lot shorter than I wanted it. But I have trimmed the dead ends off and it turned out alright.

I just was tired of having split ends so I cut my hair. It came out to be a tousled look, which I loved. You don't even really need a mirror!

I have trimmed my bangs myself but if I try to do more than that, it is a disaster. Even trimming my bangs in between haircuts is not a skill that I should pursue!

Yes, I tried, and messed up. I'll let someone who knows what they're doing cut my hair from now on.
