I've heard Ethiopians pronounce it E-ri-tir-ia and Americans say E-Ree-Tree-Ah which is correct?

In Eritrea, it´s pronounced more like Ertra. And the language is Tigrigna (gn is like cognac.)

I think it's EH- REE- Tr- EH- AH

the E is like the E in HEY., except for REE, there its like in carrEEr.
