Yes, new born puppies do have fleas if the mother does.
Just take some Q-tips, a small jar with a bit of rubbing alcohol in it, dip the Q-tip in the alcohol and dab it on the
fleas one at a time (or those in the area which is about the size of the end of the Q-tip. I have used a zip lock baggie
to put Q-tip in if just a couple fleas, other wise try to drop the fleas in the jar (babyfood jar works great) then you can just toss it in the trash. Or keep the jar with lid for fleas and ticks. It is work, but you can not put flea killer on
new puppies

Not right away but if the mother has flees after the dogs are born then they probably would get them. Maybe before the puppies come give the dog a flee bath from the groomers and spray your house with stuff to kill them that u can get frome petsmart!!

Fleas are very undesirable and could multiply very quickly and taking a bath gained't do some thing as a flea will stay interior the carpet or furniture and under no circumstances on you. Fleas stay in carpets and everywhere the position they can feed. So what i'd recommend is help the pup by using giving it a flea bathtub and making confident all parts of your carpet once you've one is swept sturdy and the undesirable removed from the sweeper to make confident you've killed each and every of the fleas. also you may positioned powder on the floor to assist in killing the fleas because fleas can not breathe in powder.

Oh poor babies, ya call or go see a vet right away cause it is not good when they are small to get fleas. The fleas can make the puppies very sick they can feed off the puppies, so the vet needs to give you something to bathe them in right away. Don't worry what ever you do don't put collars on them or spray them with anything until you see a vet.

Well - I am not really a dog person - I have two cats!
I know that it is possible for kittens to be born with flees, when they are passed on from their mother - so I think it is possible for puppies too.
I hope that helps - what kind of puppies are they?

if mom does the fleas will prefer the puppys b/c the skin is softer. so get the fleas off the mom. dont put flea killer near the teets.or on the pups. you can comb the pups ans dip the comb in hot salted water . that will kill the fleas.

They can get fleas very quickly if any other dog around them has fleas. Fleas can be fatal to newborn puppies and a vet should be consulted as soon as possible. A warm wet washcloth can be used with NO chemicals like soaps or flea sprays.
