Visit reiki.org. They should have a directory of master teachers in your area. The website also has some great general information about reiki healing. A great book to read about reiki is 'Essential Reiki' by Diane Stein. But just know that you cannot perform reiki until you recieve an attunment. (In order to open yourself up as a channel to the healing energies from the Higher Power.)

To any other Christians who post in this question, I encourage you to click on my avataar and respond to my question I posted earlier today about Christians' attitudes about reiki...

Blessings and Light!

Reiki is yet another new age healing scam. Based on the assumption there are energy fields that can be manipulated and affect healing. Of note, science is unable to detect said energy fields.

There has never been a scientific study of alternative healing (reiki, therapeutic touch, crystal therapy, pyramid therapy, prayer) that shows an effect any different from placebo.

Alternative medicine works best in people who don't have anything actually wrong with them, or have self-liimited illnesses that will get better whether you get a reiki session, or swing a cat around your head at midnight in a cemetary. Or you may go to your GP who will tell you, don't worry, it's a self-limited condition that will get better on its own...but that isn't very exciting, is it?

I have been told it is a gift. I find that it has many sides to it and needs constant overhauling to attune your spirit to it. iikozen has the right idea. Massage"therapy", regression, hands-on etc etc are methods that are "given" by ... They work. It helps if the recipient has an open mind or need for the healing, but not a requirement. Find a "master" to help with the "preliminaries" Know tho it is a personal ability, not a learned one.

@Lamh'Cre You call someone a "dick" for telling the truth? In that case ghosts are real and I am stupid. There are you happy. There is no evidence towards the existence of any of the putative beliefs people have. Someone has to tell this person that she is being naive and should look for logical answers before resorting to fatuous superstitions. Just because I really believe a leprechaun is after my cereal, does not really make it so.

Start by believing in Jesus. Start accepting His teachings. Start by praying. Start with a good solid walk with Him. Start by having faith of a mustard seed that what Jesus said He can do He will do plus more.

Get an electric cord and strip the ends--insert the plug into a live outlet and grab hold of the exposed ends. Rinse and repeat.

The Gift of healing is not something you learn...it's something you're born with.

I believe learning is not possible.
Development would be what one should look for.
Meditation should be your first step!

No where! Don't be that stupid. Only God can heal and you are not God.
Jesus Christ is the Only Way to Heaven!

In The Holy Bible in John14:6 “Jesus saith unto, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” He meant: I am the only way to get to God the Father and to heaven. I am the only truth you need to know to get to God the Father and to heaven. I am the only spiritual life available to mankind. In other words, I am the only true and living God. All other so-called gods are false gods. They are not real. They do not exist. They are Satan or his demons appearing to be gods. No other so-called god has any power to forgive, remove and cleanse men from all their sins and get them to God the Father and to heaven.
The Holy Bible in Hebrews 11:6 says “But without faith it is impossible to please him (God); for he that cometh to God must believe (have faith) that he (God) is, and that he (God) is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (God).” Parentheses mine!
I pray that, by faith, you will acknowledge that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only true and living God
I pray you will believe all of this and, by faith, accept the fact that you are a sinner needing to be saved from all your sins and that the blood Jesus Christ shed for you at Calvary is the only way you can have all your sins forgiven, removed and cleansed and the only way you can get to God the Father and to heaven. I pray you will, by faith, acknowledge all of this and ask Jesus Christ to forgive, remove and cleanse you from all your sins and accept Him into your heart and life to live for Him the rest of your life. I pray you will, by faith, turn from all your sins and receive Jesus Christ into your life/heart today, without delay. Do that today.
