"PC Fixer" ? LOL

Good luck.

Get the microsoft cleaning software. http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx

Its free, and powerful. Dont get too many "anti spyware" ,or "pc fixers" because they become the problem on your system.

Just make sure you have a firewall liek Zone Alarm, and dont download and install programs every day and you will be safe.

Also look into a feww antivirus system like AVast AntiVirus.

Defragment your system.

Overall my recomendations are
1) Windows Dfender (linked above)
2) Avast
3) Zone Alarm Free

There are a number of freewares that can clean up, maintain and fix your computer. However, they are usually standalone utilities and not all in one utility suites. However, I know of one exception, JV16 Powertools. JV16 Powertools is a utility suite which cleans a computer's registry, removes duplicate files, remove temporary internet files, tweaks system settings, backup files and much more. Currently, JV16 Powertools is a commercial product - you have to buy it. But, our friends over at pricelessware.com have saved the last free version of JV16 Powertools. The download site is: http://www.pricelessware.org/thelist/sys.htm#System%20Tweaker.
Scroll down the webpage to find it.

and download the freeware book. It lists an index of various sites offering freeware. Search and select what you want, go to that site and you have it.
Also, CCleaner is a Great software program to download and install. It is very easy to use and it is freeware.

Window's Live One Care!!! If you are running another anti-virus, then you need disable or uninstall. Live one care works for me, and I don't have to worry about some other pc cleaner screwing up your registry.
