Keep a blank journal next to your bed. As soon as you wake up, write down your dreams. You may be suprised to get some really cool ideas from your own subconscious.

If you can travel it will give you numerous exciting tales. People watching and a little imagination can lead you to creating a complete fictional story off of the way the people are communicating through body language. Lastly, you can look to history. Find some little known, real person from the middle ages, or whenever. Find everything you can on that person, and then turn their life into a work of fiction by you filling in the blanks of conversations, relationships; you tell the how and why they became whatever it was they became. Or tell the story of a widely famous scandal or person from history through the eyes of someone unexpected. I find those stories most interesting to read and think they would be a blast to write.
Good luck with your writing!

This is a question asked by young writers, or those with little experience. It helps to have some actual life experience, but for lack of that, one must become a keen observer of other people in their daily activity. This means using your eyes. If Mum and Dad taught you that it's impolite to stare, then the first thing you need to know is that mum and dad were full of s h i t. Use your eyes, and the world itself will teach you better than any counselor,
plus, you'll be able to see dangers coming at you before the dangers spot you. There's a million stories to tell, but without some actual life experience, it's difficult for the young writer to have anything useful to say. What do you know about real TRUTH, for instance? I guess the best advice I can give you is, write the same as you speak. Don't try to phony yourself up with ill-understood fanciness. Go for precision in language, but don't be afraid to show your awe and wonder at the grandness of the mystery of life. Write about things you know, keep a journal, see what that produces. Sincerely, Eagle

They always say - write about what you know. Write about things or people in your own life. If you can't think of anything, then get involved in some volunteer work and you will probably learn a lot and hear some interesting things to write about.

writing things can be kinda hard. especially if you're looking for something original and great. the same thing happens to me when i try to write a song. i find it helps to listen to your favourite music. or do something you enjoy. or you can write about something that has happened to you, just tweek the events and characters a little. hope this helps. anyways, if you do end up writing something you really like, please send it to me, i'd love to read it! :)

Good stories come from your own life experiences. If your life isnt as lively for a story, you can ask permission of a friend or someone you know for their interesting life story.

Take a walk some of the best stories come from thoughts that just pop in your head when you just relax.
