THAT WOULD HAVE TO BE BAYONNE. JUST A SHORT TRIP ACROSS THE BAYONNE BRIDGE WILL LEAVE IN STATEN ISLAND. THAT WOULD BE ONE OF NYC BURROUGHS BUT IF YOU MEAN MANHATTAN, THAT WOULD HAVE TO BE JERSEY CITY. there ARE PLACES IN LIBERTY PARK IN JERSEY CITY YOU'LL FEEL LIKE YOU CAN WALK ACROSS.

Fort Lee! I grew up there. It is the town at the George Washington Bridge. You can also try Edgewater and Weehawken for the Ferry services. Even Hoboken and Jersey City for the Path train. All these towns are across the Hudson River, where all those nice pictures of the New York City skyline are taken.

I worked in Cedar Knolls, NJ and Whippany, NJ and I was very close to NYC. It was like a 20 min drive but let me tell you the townships were so clean, safe, and beautiful. I really loved that part of NJ because it was so pretty and the people were so nice. If you want to live close to the city but sorta out in the burbs this is the place for you. It isn't the closest but it is really nice and worth the drive.

Heeeeey! I'm from Bayonne.

It sucks here :(

BUt yeah, three rivers is right - Bayonne Bridge connects Bayonne to Staten Island, and Staten Island is one of the NYC boroughs so....yeah, technically, it's Bayonne.

If you mean closest to Manhattan...it's probably Fort Lee. The G-Dub is shorter in length than either the Holland or the Lincoln.
