the only eating certian stuff was only for the early Israelites.... Jesus hadn't come to save everyone yet so they had to do certain things and make certain offerings in order for their sins to be forgiven... but since Jesus came and offered himself as a holy sacrifice for us we don't have to worry about that stuff anymore

OK the Bible is in 2 major parts The Old Testament and the New testament. The old one represents the covenant that God gave to the Jews, before he sent the Messiah(Jesus).
the New testament is a New Covenant with God where all people can be saved by grace, like you are saying. The new Testament actually goes over all the laws of the old and frees us from many of the extraneous ones. Like you mention here. Jesus only holds us to the Ten Commandments now.

You seem to be just concerned with getting into heaven and not your personal walk with Jesus. Try walking with Him a while and your fear of not making it into heaven will be a thing of the past. Don't worry you won't make it to Methuselahs age to much sin in this poor old world. You may for making such an awful statement make it to a nursing home which I pray you do not. I challenge you to go to a nursing home and have a look around. You may walk away with a totally different attitude.

Funny! NOT! Jesus does not kill anyone.
You have to remember that the people in the Old Testament were under LAW. Jesus came and died for us so now we are under Grace.
Grace means we don't have ALL the same rules as blood sacrifices ect. Grace means accepting God's Grace.
Anything else? E-mail me.

the mickey mouse food stuff you're referring to was due to foods being contaminated during that time. that's why "kosher" food has many rules and regs. we still conform to this somewhat today. for example, in a restaurant setting, if you have only one refrigerator walk - in, you must store you're raw meat on the bottom shelf and dairy products on the top to prevent blood from the meat entering the dairy. shellfish was considered unclean because of the possible infections that can come from eating ill - preparred shellfish. the who begat who thing was simply record keeping. i prefer to think they have eternal glade plug - ins in heaven. there...did i cover everything?

No one can get into heaven by "accepting" Jesus.
Jesus doesn't need our acceptance, WE need His!
Repentance and faith are the way to salvation.
Repentance is the act of intense sorrow to God for sinning against Him and detesting those sins as if they were pure evil.
Faith in Jesus Christ to save you is the total trust that Jesus WILL save you and it causes you to KEEP Him first in your life at all times.

be conscious Roman 10:9 and 10. The differnce is one among velocity. verbal committment of confession wityh people. alter calls . those above verses are used as alter calls to rwch each form of uncommitted those that are uncertain, perchance have a area self assurance in Christ . The impartation of the holy Spirit is our own handbook for eac persons as Jesu Christ defined. additionally spoken of as teh comforter being the indwelling presence of the. Holy Spirit interior us. once you study Romans 10: 9 and 10 you will understand. In his ministry people already knew his call, believed on his call a minimum salvation element. The comforter will come. i ought to bypass Jesus mentioned so he could come. The spirit is likewise in a position outdoors us in different manifested techniques. expertise of the call does no longer advise one is in Christ and or born of the spirit of God . The surety of verbal committmenst as will abide interior us is the foremost factors some church homes emphasize. This humbles a bekliever and that they are in a position to develop in grace and information of the bible quicker. equivalent to providing the holy Spirit or laying ion lf palms in the porbytery to heal as nicely. The verbal repeat form of analysis missles in cathlicism helps speach and verbal confession to be made. this is what you perchance assume in different church homes. compliment and prayer are at cases spoken with the aid of the congregation yet no longer each and all the sevice. So the form differs plenty. Confession that Jesus Chris died for you and arose lower back is the committemnbt mandatory in those verses. The bible further sates that in case you confess me for adult adult males I wil confess you in the previous my Father in Heaven. So somebody could attend with out the verbal committement.

These are from the old testament a lot of catholics tend to take teachings from the new testaments which is more forgiving and compassionate. Besides the important thing to remember is that these are stories to live your life by, take the message you like from the bible and live it.

Say, oh great one, don't you know that those are the old rules, given to the Jewish people, basically for health reasons.
When Jesus came, He made unnecessary to follow some of those old rules. Didn't you learn that in cathequism ?
Ask your priest, please, you are a little bit left behind
