I would prefer to live in Italy because it seems to have a more varied climate, i.e., you have the warmth of Sicily as well as the snowy Italian Alps.

It would depend where in Africa. For instance, northern Africa or South Africa would be ok, but I don't think I'd want to live in central or eastern Africa. All in all, however, I'd probably prefer to live in Italy.
