Do it yourself. The best day care provider is a parent.

Do what it takes to raise your child yourself.

ask every question you can think of and remember that it is a day care but the people are still strangers check out the kitchen visit at meal time see how much food they get and how kids are treated and when you do choose one stay on there toes and be sure things are done right never blow things off to be nice or things will not get better always keep your eyes and ears open and go to social services website and check up on the day care http://www.dss.virginia.gov/facility/search/licensed.cgi is the site i used and doing this you can see there violations

1) ask other mothers in your neighborhood
2) pick 10 in your neighborhood and go personally and check them out
spend at least an hour in each one.
look at how many kids are in the room, how many teachers,
go to a couple of children and ask how they like it.
ask about food, lunches,
I took my daughter to them and had her play for 1/2 hour while i talked. to see how she interacted with the other kids. didnt force to play just said if she felt like playing to go ahead, and then I watched.
this how I decided which one was best.
