Since you got him as a family, make him a family project. Research a good solid puppy food. We got our dog at about 6 weeks old. We fed her Science Diet puppy food. Have you asked your vet about the food he recommends? Don't feed your puppy bones, as he could choke on them. Make sure he gets plenty of water. Give him some rope chew toys or small stuffed toys to chew on. If you can't put him in a crate to housebreak him, can you put him on a tile floor or something? Set up a schedule with your family to feed him, give him walks, play with him, let him out, etc. Goldens are amazing dogs...very sweet and playful. But you will need to start training him what to chew and what not to chew, when to go the bathroom, etc. Make sure your brother knows it's a lot of responsibility...not just a cute puppy. Good luck.

he should have been on solid food at within 6 weeks of age. please don't feed the dog chicken bones several things can go wrong feeding chicken bones.
A frequently asked question has to do with the safety of giving bones to dogs. You run a risk giving real animal bones to your pet. Chicken bones are a big No-No because they are small and sharp. They get caught in the mouth and can puncture the intestines. The problem with larger bones is that as the dog breaks off and eats small chips, these can build up in small turns of the intestines and cause a blockage. Raw bones have bacteria that may result in an infection. Signs of trouble after eating bones include pawing at the mouth, vomiting and diarrhea. Call your Vet. If you must give a bone, use a large cooked bone and take it away as soon as you hear pieces being cracked off.
Commercially made dog bones are usually safe. Animal hoofs and ears run the risk of infection if they were not properly sterilized. Rawhides are safe as long as your dog isn't gobbling them up in a few minutes. If eaten too fast, the larger pieces may swell up in the GI tract and cause discomfort and even an obstruction. Biscuit type treats are fine... just don't get carried away since not all of these are nutritionally balanced or low calorie!
Having a good chew is entertaining for you dog and good for his gums and teeth. So be careful what you chose to give him and you'll both be happy.
and i don't understand the rest of your question.

He should be on solid foods now, no more milk unless it is goats milk. You can cook him a good meal by boiling a chicken, and taking all meat off of bones, then make enough of the broth into 12 cups of water. Cook 3 cups of rice or Bulgar in the water until all water is absorbed. While the rice cooks, add any vegetables except cabbage, and onions ...Carrots or squash, sweet potatoes, are all good...Mix the chicken back in, and feed about 2 cups of this per day..it should last about a week.
If there are good dog foods in your town, you can just feed him canned or dry dog food...It might need to be moistened with a little water for the first couple of months.
take him out for walks twice per day, and make certain he has cool water and shade at all times.

Never ever give an animal chicken bones. You need to get advice from a vet on what to feed your dog. Also, buy a book about Golden Retrievers at any pet shop.

If at all possible I wouldn't give him chicken bones, they could get stuck in his throat. As far as any food, any type of puppy chow is always a winner and you can start now. If you don't have a kennel then you might want to try and old blanket or comforter if available for him to sleep on. Hope this helped! Good luck with your new puppy I'm sure you'll have lots of fun!

Try C and if that doesn't work do B. Many apartments require the renter to sign a lease for a certain period of time - there may be substantial financial penalties if she were to move out before the end of the time period. Even if there isn't, moving costs money and time. I can see paying extra pet deposit for an additional dog, but the second dog isn't requiring anything that should require the rent to go up (like more rooms or more heat/hot water if those are included in the rent).

You can feed him solid food now.
These dogs are very sweet. In the summer they will suffer unless they have cool water, shade, and maybe a child's plastic swimming pool filled with water, for them to play in. He will need to be trained to come when called, to sit, and to be a good dog citizen. He will need a fenced yard so he does not run away and get into trouble. He will need training, play, and exercise. He will need dog toys to chew on, because he will chew on everything for the first year, and you don't want him to chew on anything that will harm him.
It is bad to let dogs chew on bones, especially chicken bones, because the splinters can harm them. If you are going to feed them table scraps, be sure the bones are removed from the meat, and mix the scraps with a good "complete" dry dog food, in order to prevent nutritional deficiency.
I am not sure what kind of dog diseases are in India, but you should take your dog to a veterinarian and make sure he is immunized and also receives medications to kill any intestinal parasites ("worms").
Buy a book on raising your first puppy.

if your dog is 4 weeks(2 months) old then he is should still be drinking milk. You can give him soft solid foods. But yeah puppies shouldnt leave their moms until they are 2 months old so why you got him so early beats me but yeah soft solid foods are ok, but you should NEVER feed dogs chiken or steak bones.... Like rib bones out of BBQ ribs are ok because they are big enough that the dog cannot choke on it and thick enough that the bone won't splinter.
Well any ways Congrats on the new pup

Don't feed the dog chicken bones because they can splinter inside your dogs body. 6 weeks old is when you can start feeding the puppy puppy food. Also give him clean water all the time. You should keep him indoors unless you plan on getting him flea/tick shots. Also get him neutered when he gets to be 6 months old, because there are too many homeless/stray/diseased with cancer animals in the world to begin with.
