Not necessarily. There are both benign (non-cancerous) and cancerous growths that can be found in the colon, as well as in other locations in the body. However, even benign growths can cause problems, such as indicated by one of the other answers. If a benign growth in your bowel obstructs the passage of stool it can lead to serious problems without being cancerous.

No....any tumor can either be benign (group of cells of slowed or stopped growth) or cancerious (groups of cells growing out of control caused by altered genetic codes). Generally tumors are more dangerous if they are cancerous, however in the colon, any moderate size tumor is very dangerous in that it could cause a blockage and prevent the intestines from functioning correctly.

You have got many types of tumors..head tumor, brain tumor, tumor in your stomach, on your leg etc..etc..please consult your doctor

no their not but they have to keep a close eye on them and you have to have regular checkups.
