I second the other answer, it wouldn't be recognized and in most cases, of at least online stores, you would have wasted some money as you would have to pay for return shipping and a 15% restocking fee on the memory. Stay within the limit, also, I realize it was probably a typo that you meant to say 1024MB.

I would never say that a 1GB limit on memory is great, my motherboard supports up to 4GB of memory, newer ones are supporting 8GB and 16GB. By today's standards I would say your motherboard is slightly out of date.

Will most likely not be recognised. Or turnicate ram at the last installed chip. (only read those up to but not exceeding 1025). For example if there was 1 ,2 gig ram chip, it would not show up at all, and pc fail to run.

Your 1 GIG ram limit should be great. :)
