I agree. God is God. A rose still smells just as sweet under any other name.

Well, there are a couple of different meanings a person could have when they said that.

If a Christian says that Allah is a false god (which is funny because a lot of Arab Christians call God "Allah"), they probably mean that since the Qur'an does not reflect a trinitarian understanding of God, it represents a false portrait of God. I'm sure that a muslim would refer to the Trinity as a false understanding of God.

Or, on the other hand, there are people like me who believe that the god portrayed in the Bible and Qur'an is a primitive tribal war god who ought to be relegated to the dust bin of history. Who believe that if this god exists, he obviously glories in suffering and exists solely as an enabler of the worst aspects of humanity. In that sense, I believe that Jehovah/Allah (see how fair I was by recognizing that they represent the same concept?) is a false god.

I'm assuming you're referring to Christians on this one. When people claim Allah is a false god, they're not claiming that the name is false. God's not a name either. Most rational people recognize this. What they ARE saying is a false god, is the god of Islam, the doctrines of Islam. While you may choose to agree or disagree with that, to say that Christianity and Islam are best buddies and mutually exclusive is contradictory.

Allah is not just another name for God of the Judeo-Christian faith, Allah is the name of the Muslim god. If Allah was just another name for God, than whenever the Koran would be translated into another language, than Allah would be translated into the word for God in that language, but it never changes, it's always Allah in every language. That's because Allah is the name of The God of the Koran, and not just another name of God. Allah in the Koran is capricious, untrustworthy. You can never have a personal relationship with him. The God of the Bible is the Creator of all, and His Word never changes.

There is only one God, the God of the Bible. He's the Living God, who you can have a personal relationship with, who can give you salvation.

You are right. It is bad for people to call Allah a false God. If a Muslim would have heard a person call Allah a false God, you wouldn't be seeing that person for a few years.

The following is based on FACT if you question it you should do your research. You should research your religion intensly when looking for the TRUTH just don't go by what relatives, friends or parents say you must find the truth for yourself.

The name Allah came from an Arabic word that had to do with the worship of the moon god in pre-Islamic Arabia. Allah can not be found in the Hebrew Old Testament or the Greek New Testament. Allah is not the same as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Our God is Knowable! Allah is unknowable! He is so exalted that no man can ever personally know Allah. The Allah of the Quran is so distant, so far off, so abstract, that no one can know him. And Muslim believers can never know the love of Allah until Judgement Day when they find out if Allah loves them and will invite them into paradise.
The god of Islam is totally different from the God we know. The Quran tells us that the god of Islam works with Satan and demons to lead people astray in order to populate the hell he created (Surah 6:39, 126; 32:13; 43:36-37).
Islam's attitude toward the Jews is found in
Surah 9:5 -"Fight and slay the Pagans [Christians and Jews] wherever you find them, and seize them, and lie in wait for them in every strategem (of war)".

Surah 5:33 say's -"The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger....is: execution, or crucifixion, or thecutting of hands and feet from opposites sides, or exile from the land."

Muhammad taught a doctrine of triumphalism, meaning that it is god's will (Allah) for the law of Islam to rule the world. The first step in fulfilling Muhammad's dream is the destruction of Isreal. No peace treaty will ever stop fourteen hundred years of Islamic hatred for the Jews.

The differences between our God and the god of Islam is "Jesus, God is a loving father; for Muhammad, Allah is a demanding master. Allah finds new believers who will serve him better. God the Father searches for the one lost lamb until He finds it and brings it home rejoicing." - Mark Gabriel

God bless in Christ

Allah is the same God in Christianity, just Muslims don't recognize Jesus as the true Son of God. Just another prophet.

Where Does the word "Allah" Come From?
"Allah" comes from the Arabic word "elah" - (Arabic) means 'a god' or something that is worshipped. This word (elah) can be made plural, as in "aleha" and it can be male or female. "Allah" comes from "elaha" but it brings more clarification and understanding.

Allah = Has no gender (not male and not female)
* "He" is used only out of respect and dignity - not for gender
Allah = Always singular - Never plural
* "We" is used only as the "Royal WE" just as in English for royalty
Allah =Means "The Only One to be Worshipped"

Is "Allah" only for Islam and Muslims?
"Allah" is the same word used by Christian and Jewish Arabs in the Bible, before Islam came.

On page one [1] of Genesis in the Old Testament, we find the word "Allah" seventeen [17] times.

May Allah reward you sister...

Logically and reasonably, can anyone prove to me that Allah is a false God? I rather doubt it, since no one can absolutely prove the existence of God in the first place. Faith tells us that God exists (or doesn't for the atheists out there). Judging from the horrible reaction to the depiction of Allah in a cartoon I think that anyone publicly saying that he is a false God is downright suicidal.
