I don't know but it makes me horny.
Depressed is something that usually follows if I can't get a girls phone number.

Yes it can lead to depression, alcohol is a depressant, not a stimulant. If you have feelings of depression, it can amplify those feelings. While it is okay to enjoy a drink socially, if you have problems with depression, treat or address those issues, rather than compound those feelings with alcohol

Some people react differently to alcohol. I have a friend who gets depressed and always ends up crying, while I am always happy and, so I'm told 'really funny'! So you can imagine a night out with my friend and I!

Despite the feelings you get, alcohol is a depressant. It will do that.
