Put them on and look at a cell phone screen or a computer screen. You will see an obvious wavy pattern and change of color.

Find another pair of polarized glasses, and look thru both at the same time. If both are polarized, you should be able to rotate one of the glasses and almost totally block out all the light.

Seriously: Look at the back window of cars on the road. If your sunglasses are ACTUALLY polarized, the back windows of many cars will look oddly splotchy.

Look into a reflective pool of water, such as a lake. If they are truly polarized you will be able to see through the reflection and deep into the water, as the light waves will be aligned in a way that you can view through them.

If they are polarized try looking through a car's windscreen, you should see dark and light areas, and if you rotate the glasses the pattern will change

okay get a pair that you know are polarized (borrow some or go to shop)
take both pairs hold the lenses in front of each other you should be able to see light through them now turn one pair 45 degrees if it all blacks out(no light gets through) both pairs are polarized if not one pair aint.

****Look at a polaroid photograph taken on a polaroid camera, then turn it upside down, if they are polarized then the picture will totally disappear or it may appear to be upside down if so look at the picture in a mirror with the glasses on but have them on upside down. the picture should be upside down and a mirror image will be seen.
This works only if the light is shining at the correct angle of 33.3 degree to the picture. just adjust your picture. hope you find out, and Have fun :)

Take out your mobile, look at it with the glasses on, and rotate it around (so the screen is still facing you) it should change colour. I tried this with one of my mates polarised glasses
