i took my dog out for a walk and he was trying to poop but nothing came out. we was standinng for a very long time he wanted to go but nothing

Have his past bowel movements looked normal? Has he been acting like his usual self? If everything else is normal, keep an eye on him. If you see changes, or he continues to become constipated, have the vet do a checkup.

My dog could go for a few days, he got really bad stomach ache where he was crying from pain. He got a $250 enima from the vet.
Don't feed your dog cheese or dairy, it might back him up a bit.
Try putting some vegie oil on his food, just enough to coat it, not too much, but it might help him pass

you can give him either Metamucil, 1/4 cup of canned creamed corn, 1/4 cup of canned pumpkin...Any of those things work well and are safe....if it is a tiny dog, reduce the amount , as those amounts are for a medium dog.
If he hasn't gone within 16 hours, take him to the vet to be checked for a blockage.

He might have Gasiritus Its very hard to poop take him to the vet or hes sitting
Go to the vet he/she will tell you what it might be Rub the tummy he might be
having a hard turd

give the dog about a tablespoon of canned pumpkin in his food and this should relieve the constipation. This really works.

On weekends call the vet number for an emergency number (there is always a vet on call) better safe then sorry!!

Give him some Cod Liver Oil - Works with my Cats. Not tooo much though - good luck.

Enema. you need to prime the pump. get a garden hose and stick it up there and turn it on for about 10 minutes--pull it out and stand back, babe.

Also make sure he has an unlimited supply of water. You can't make him drink but you need to make fresh water available to him at all times.
