I've seen a lot of different style, braids, a "tail", shaved with patterns, neatly cut short.

Your observation is incorrect. There are many many styles that black guys might have. Braids, twists, dreads, baby dreads, fade, permed, blah blah blah...

They have Dreads, Deep Waves, Bald, Mohawk (( i know sum)), & also Twist! Theirs alot maybe the ones you know are just borin with their hair
