I would like to make two points: I do not mean to deminish the sadness suffering, but christians arent the only sufferers in the world. Also, the separation of church and state did not result in guns and drugsd in school. we are not a christian state, so why should we have christin public schools?

It depends on the part of the world the Christian lives in. Are you aware of the beheadings of Christians in Indonesia?
Three Indonesian girls beheaded

Three girls have been beheaded and another badly injured as they walked to a Christian school in Indonesia.
They were walking through a cocoa plantation near the city of Poso in central Sulawesi province when they were attacked.
This is an area that has a long history of religious violence between Muslims and Christians.
A government-brokered truce has only partially succeeded in reducing the number of incidents in recent years.
Police say the heads were found some distance from the bodies.
It is unclear what was behind the attack, but the girls attended a private Christian school and one of the heads was left outside a church leading to speculation that it might have had a religious motive.

Christians have the weird sense that one day we will be oppressed by the Anti-Christ, as it is written in the book of Revelations. it may end up being the world's first case of pre-traumatic stress disorder, where people break down before the traumatic occurs.
As the story goes, the Anti-Christ will require a marking on everyone, and the faithful in Christ will deny this "mark of the beast" and become outcasts from society.
this is throught to occur in two different ways:
1. Mid-Tribulation - Jesus has already come and taken the saints before the tribulation starts and there is now a new growth of Christianity in the world. These Christians refuse the mark of the beast just after the 3 1/2 years of peace is ending and just before the 3 1/2 of war begins. They become outcasts and must live by any means necessary until the end of the tribulation, when they will join the rest of the saints in the battle of Armageddon.
2. Pre-Tribulation - The mark is decreed before the tribulation starts and any Christian who receives the mark will not be raptured when Christ returns. Some believe the faithfuil will be called up before this happens and that onyl the newly saved after the rapture will be subjected tot he horrors of the Anti-Christ. Some believe there will be no more saved after the rapture.

If by "oppressed" you mean oppression from others in here in the USA, then the answer for me is definitely no.
But if you asked this of a Christian in China or Iran or North Korea, the answer is absolutely yes.
The reason you statements like the one you quoted is that Christians feel like Christianity is under attack from secular forces. Even the Bible says that in the end times, Christians will be persecuted for their beliefs. Many of us expect to see this in our lifetimes given the sociological changes we've been seen over the past several years.
But those with Jesus don't feel oppressed. We know that our home isn't this planet.
We are pilgrims in a strange land
We are so far from our homeland
With each passing day it seems so clear
This world will never want us here
We're not welcome in this world of wrong
We are foreigners who don't belong
We are strangers, we are aliens
We are not of this world
We are envoys, we must tarry
With this message we must carry
There's so much to do before we leave
With so many more who may believe
Our mission here can never fail
And the gates of hell will not prevail
Jesus told us men would hate us
But we must be of good cheer
He has overcome this world of darkness
And soon we will depart from here

Oppressed no. Persecuted? Well I think that the scorn and petty name calling of Catholics and other Christians in America at least, is pretty insignificant to what our brothers and sisters in other countries suffer.
The ignorant treatment of the Roman Catholic Faith gets pretty frustrating when it is inflicted by our brother and sister Christians. however. Especially since it's pretty easy to get the truth about Roman Catholicism, instead of continually rolling out evidence from the dark ages!

Well I love Jesus and He said that others would hate me because of His name....
They take away Bible and prayer reading... in school and replace them with drugs and guns....
they make it illigal to pray a Christian prayer in Jesus' name...
They call me and others like me Terrorist, and worse than the Islamic terrorist... because of the crussades... ancient history....
They calll me and others like me all sorts of names, they curse me on this site all of the time... what did I do to them?
Christians accross the world are being killed by the hundreds in other countries every day... an inconvenient truth....
But I forgive them, because God gives me grace....
God forgive 'em....

Perhaps if a christian has not surrendered his/her whole life to God's will they may feel oppressed. There may be a part of them that wants to do what they want to do and not what God wants them to do; that may make them feel oppressed.

Hey this question is back to front. It is the Christians who oppress and seek to dictate to anyone who does not believe as they do.
