Going to church doesn't make you a christian.
I am a christian and I don't go to church.
I prefer to study the Word of God at home by myself.
I'll talk to other people about their different beliefs in doctrine, but I will not let another man teach me.
I believe God can teach me all I need to know.
The only reason I would go to church is for spiritual fellowship with other christians.
Even then, that's what bible studies are for.
The church of Christ is, after all, the body of the christians. You don't need a building. Where two or more are gathered, He is there in the midst of them.
So I guess I'm both a christian and another idiot that doesn't go to church.
But I am not an idiot.

I take offense at the term "idiot". I was never baptized to any religion and no one in my family goes to church. I disagree in many ways with Catholics, and i dont plan ever to belong to any other faith. however, i certainly believe in God, but i dont think i should have to go to church to have faith or worship God. i believe that a man called Jesus existed and i believe that what he said and did was good. i dont believe it matters if hes "God the Son" because that doesnt make what he had to say any less important or any less good. If someone made a speech that you really agreed with and really inspired you, and then you found out he was a murderer, would you stop agreeing with that speech? i have gone to catholic schools all my life, and not being a part of the catholic community has left me free to disregard the teachings i dont like and take in the ones i do. if being a christian means that you have to follow every rule and agee with every statement that somebody else made up, then i dont want to be a christian. if being a christian is believing in God and Jesus, appreciating life, and trying to do good things, then i am certainly a christian.

I am not a Christian. I'm currently searching for a UU church in my area. I think you're displaying a warped idea of what being a Christian is by calling people who don't go to church idiots.

So, Christians are the only ones that go to church? If an atheist goes into a church, does that make him christian, even if he goes in to vandalize? If it is Christians or people that do not go to church, then everyone that ever went into a church, no matter he religion, is a Christian?

Attending church is not necessarily a mark of Christianity. To the contrary, those mindless zombies trooping into church every time the doors are open may be listening to something that isn't exactly what the Bible teaches. One must choose carefully.

Calling people idiots for not going to church is not very Christian. I rarely go to church but I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Hmmmmm... how christian of you to blanket folks with the title of IDIOT. You don't need to go to church every week to praise God. Have you read the Bible? Keep the lord in your heart and he is with you always. Don't judge others harshly because they don't beleieve in the same way, tell them about Jesus and what your beliefs have done for you and hope they ask you to tell them more. Look up Mark 16:15
