He likes the "chase" but he doesn't like the responsibility of a relationship. Immature idiot. Do not flirt with him in return. He made his bed, make him lie in it. Let him go - free yourself for someone who will treat you well.

he's probably the type that isn't comfortable in a relationship. i can understand. in a relationship for a guy he's in a way forced into making moves and that sometimes makes the guy uncomfortable. now that he's out of that relationship zone he has a chance to do things on his own will, with less tension, like flirt with you. if you guys decide to go out again make sure you always make him feel good around you. be more open and flirt back with him or you can make most of the first moves. it takes the pressure off of him. have alone time where you can talk one on one openly so whatever stage of your relationship you're on, he'll feel comfortable. through and after all this will the flirting grow.

I'm in the same situation. you have feelings for him; **** you love him and here he is giving you attention; but you're NOT going out so its more like NO strings attached. Leave him alone. Trust me get away and get a new flirt partner.
