Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.

Many Christians struggle over whether or not it is sinful to perform Reiki. However, some people have done research and sought guidance through prayer to decide. I encourage you to read the follow article and post your answers:

I dont have a problem with it personally, I have done some myself. I dont suggest it for everyone. If someone feels it's wrong in their hearts then by all means they should stay away. I personally dont find anything wrong with anything you can do to help your physical and spiritual health, so long as its given to God and not another being.
