So the bible tells us to blame all our problems on free will. On our own stupid decisions. But what about all the forces of nature that couldn't have been prevented by god's oh so generous gift of free will? Hurricane katrina, the tsunami a few years back, that huge earthquake in asia? And if satan's to blame, then why didn't god override those disasters? Is he not as powerful as satan? What kind of creator would make a species, give it a vauge idea of what it wants, give it free will, give it a wonderful place to live, then take it away because of one bad decision involving an apple. Then, he punishes the species on a whim with natural disasters, and lets it ride itself into the ground with war and violence? If he can control everything, why doesn't he make the world perfect, and everyone content and happy again? Does he like watching us suffer? If he's all loving, why can't he accept the fact that not everyone loves him? It sounds like us humans are just here for his amusement, like an interesting video game or a science experiment. If he didn't want to see us suffering, he would forgive all of us regardless of whether we accept him or not. He wouldn't have kicked us out of eden for using a gift he gave us, and he wouldn't condemn people to hell. Either god's one cold distant and completely inhuman being, a sadistic control freak... or there is no god in the traditional sense. People should stop making excuses for a out-dated concept they can not prove.

That is not GOD that is Satan I like to think. Just like the 9/11 tragedy, that is not God doing those things either. Satan things he is stronger but with faith he loses in the end. And each trial we go through and even the real bad ones such as these is a test of our faith as well. God would not do these things. God always has a good plan and even for those who die innocently. The Bible will help clarify many questions for you, but not all. You have to put your faith in God.

Have you ever even tried to seek a genuine anwer to this question? It is a pervasive one and one that has concerned people for centuries. Why does evil exist? It seems as if you're asking rhetorically, having already decided the answer for yourself. Don't use this as an excuse to write off the compelling historical facts of Christianity altogether. Christianity answers this question more sensibly than any other worldview I know. The short answer--God created mankind with freewill. He wants us to accept Him voluntarily; otherwise we are robots. Mankind chose to disobey Him, bringing separation between us and Him, and causing this world/universe to decline/disintegrate since that time (2nd law of thermodynamics). Everything from our thoughts to our DNA is in an imperfect state now, resulting in the things you mentioned above, which is not what God intended for His Creation. Now He did know it would occur, so the question becomes, why would God allow it. I don't know why, other than if He did not allow it, creation would not have been possible in the first place. Apparently He felt giving us a choice by creating us was more just and fair than denying choice by never creating us at all.

Two points;
1) None of the evil things that we experience are God's idea. The original plan you may recall was to live in peace and serenity without death or harm.
2) God makes every effort to reach people, to bring them back to himself. But we have a free will (we are the only creatures with this) and mankind does whatever it pleases with impunity for now.
There will come a time very soon when that will end.
But for now people abuse kids and beat their wives and fire Katusha rockets at each other in His name. Is that His idea? No!
Do babies and kids and men and women suffer and die? Yes they do. Is that His idea? No! And you might want to remember that all those little kids and babies who die go directly to His arms. Not a bad place to be.
What about the adults who perpetuate evil in the world without repentance? They will stand before Him and give an account.
What we have to ask ourselves is which group do we belong to? Do we continue to live our lives as we please and whine about all the injustices or do we seek God and serve Him and try to make a difference everyday?
Believe me, God is keeping score and everybody will have an opportunity to give an account, either way.

It is a very nice question .. I would like to tell you my opinion which it got formed by the way I raised .. I borned muslim and we blieve in Allah christians blieve in god (not sure if they are the same in thier point of view) but they are the same to me .. lets say one word about Allah or God which is the "creature" this creature created this whole world ... now I will tell you what I raised on this world created even before creating mankind (still figuring out the purpose!) .. he created Adam then Eve becuase they commited a sin (eating from the forbidden tree) they got dropped down to earth and the creature told them this is your punshiment you have the freedom to do what ever you want BUT who will follow my rules (some people don't understand them well- like some muslims we have in our nation) will get back to heaven peacefully after he/she dies the day the creature choose other wise another punshment is waiting for them .. so what ever is happening now it is happening becuase the person him self chosed to do that thing and he will be the only one who will get the credit for what he did whether it is a 'good' thing or 'bad' thing this world doesn't ment to be the perfect world becuase human is not perfect there is who will follow and who will not .. who will get the cancer to die other will get cancer to get stronger some will get a lesson from this person who have cancer lot lot lot of things might happend becuase of/to this one person .. this is my opinion only ..

What, like this existence is all that. Humanity has been brutal and nature no better since day one. I believe in God and whatever his purpose is his. There is no answer to you question but if you can tap into his love for you and everyone that is start. All i can do is help everyone that i meet and if but to make them laugh or smile i have made this world a better place. Everyday is your chance to help. The Earth is possessed by Satan.

As for people harming each other:
Would anyone want to believe in a god that FORCED them to do right and good all the time, preventing this kind of inhumanity.
God decided that people need to be free to do the most despicable things in order to see and understand their own depravity and the depravity potential within each of us.
As for death, even suffering:
I have seen people fade away from terminal disease. For the Christians I have visited within weeks of their passing, this is a time of joy, in spite of the physical problems. One lady I visited couldn't speak, but she sang songs to God with what little power of speech she had. (She could answer "yes" and "no" questions by moaning "uh-huh" and "uh-uh.") But there is joy knowing that the race is almost over, and they will soon meet God. A grandmother I had could see angels as she got very near her time.
What's your excuse for blaming God for the horrible things people do?

A christian strong in God one told me, it was not God's intention to have us suffer. The death, lies, everything on this world is of the Devil. The Bible says she Devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy. So, it isn't God causing this. Oh and think about this. the children that die are in a better place

because christians who believe in God also believe in the devil, simply put good things come from God and evil things the devil, allowing someting to happen doesn't mean He approves of it, He has a specific time when all evil things will be done away with.
