why people with hypothyroidim have an older appearence?
im 25 and people keep asking me if iam in 30´s, i do not drink or smoke,pratice exercise, no junk foods, i cant understand, i take my thyroid medication , blood tests are well, i really dont uderstand

probably to do w/the swelling of the face and eyes. i look at myself and i look older then what i did before i had it.

I don't think that it's due to your hypothyroidism. I have hypo also and I'm mistaken for someone much younger a lot of the time. I just turned 27 and people routinely think I'm around 21. It may be due more to genetics or some other part of your appearance.

I don't think that has anything to do with hypothyroidism. My family has a history of that, and the women particularly look amazingly young for their ages. Maybe it's the way you dress, or your hairstyle or something. It definitely sounds like you're living a nice, clean lifestyle, so I doubt that's it. Maybe you just have too many negative people around you that would say something mean spirited like that.

I too have hypothyroidism. I have a swollen face and eyes and since our digestive system is slower than most, toxins are left in the body to do damage.
