I am attracted to him as a person, he is sweet, intelligent but at the same time up for laugh. I think I really like him but I don't want to say anything if it could hurt me and my friends friendship! Please help!

Forgot to add my parents have a 9 year gap between them so age difference has never been a problem in my family. My friend is cool about this kind of stuff so I doubt she would really have a problem and I live in the uk so the legal age for sex etc. is 16 but like I said before i'm not in it for sex! It's just really that it's the first time i've liked a younger guy before!

Don't let someone tell you who to love. The only thing you should be listening to is your own heart. If your friends judge you for it, then they're not your friends.

Well I'm going to honestly say being a Mom and all, the age thing bothers me. That's like saying my oldest who is 19, dating one of my daughters friends, she will be 13 in September. Something is wrong with this picture. Can't you like someone your own age, or 17, 16. But not 14. Does your parents know about this boy?

Ask yourself, why would I date a 14 year old?

I'm sure that he's a great guy. To be fair, three years isn't that much of a different. However, you are about to go to college, and if there were ever any sexual relations between the two of you, you could be labeled as a sexual predator forever.

I'm sure that he really is a nice guy. However, he is 14. You both are different emotional levels.

that is all a count of adulthood. If he acts like he's older than 19, then he ought to experience as a lot as you. do not bypass in basic terms on age. He should not be able to bypass to bars and such till he's 21, yet otherwise there isn't any authentic difficulty in basic terms with age.

14 and 17... it's a bit on the edge. I've dated a guy that was younger than me; 2,5 years, but I was 24 and he was 22. It only lasted a couple of dates....

i don't think anything is wrong in it untill you get involved in sex, its good you like him and you both can be something sort of best friends for little while, i mean till the time you r conforim that he is worth to be with and till you find out he has matured from the mental side.
well best of luck for your friendship

If you both were of legal age, this wouldn't be so great an age difference -- but as it is, he is definitely a minor. Be careful, you are treading on the illegal. Wait until he is of age.
