Im soooo sad and i hope shes just sleeping. She is the parakeet who layed the 5 eggs. only three hatched and im scared that if she dies who will give the babies food or warmth. seperate her , suspend a light over her (not to close) and keep her warm, this will pick her up.
Get her immediate vet attention, dont wait, she will pass away if u wait, as she sounds as if she is well on the way now.
Good luck buddie.
xx

The vet is the only way to really help her. Take her to one ASAP! She may have eaten something toxic, something that is "stuck" in her digestive tract, or she may have even smashed into something and suffered a broken bone, fractured skull... the vet is the only one who can really let you know. How old are the chicks? The male will probably feed them, but you should really take them to the vet too if the female (and the male) is ignoring them. There may be someone at the vet who can hand feed the chicks or show you how to do it. If you are unable to get to a vet, use an isolation tank (fish tank) with a heating pad under the tank (ON A WARM SETTING, NOT HOT) and a tpwel in the bottom to keep the female warm and safe until you can get her to the vet.

If you have sprayed bug spray or cooked with a teflon pan, these can both kill a parakeet or any other bird. If the hatchlings are not weaned properly they too will die. There is a specific way that they have to be fed. If you don't do it exactly right they will die. You might check to see if there is a local bird breeder who can teach you how to wean the babies, or who will do it for you for two of the three.

You can make a Make-shift incubator to keep them warm if they are still that young... But usually, the mom won't leave them until they can regulate their temperature for short periods.

Put your Parakeet in a cage, somewhere quiet, and keep her VERY WARM! Warmth is the best thing for a sick bird!! Its impossible for us to predict whats wrong, but you MUST get your bird to a vet within 24 hours!Check to make sure she is not egg bound, check her vent. She may very well have contracted an infection.

contact a vet...or get a boy parakeet or other friends..don't leave her alone too much and spend quality time with her..give her happiness because you took her away from her real home da wild soo just help her feel liek she is a free bird again liek she once used to be..

im really sorry to tell you this, but it looks like she is dead. i had a parakeet , but it died in its cage. but maybe it is sleeping, or got injured. take it to a vet as fast, as possible. Or maybe it went on strike.(when it goes on strike, it stops talking) some birds go on strike because they arnt happy with something, like they dont get enough exercise,or enough intention. i hope your bird gets better!

You certainly DO need big help. Why are you cursing the God of the Christians and Jews? Why don't you curse Allah or budah instead. The Bible tells us that God will hold all who curse his name accountable. You have been weighed in the scales and found wanting!!!!

well you should take her to a vet if this is not normal. If she had babies then perhaps you should ask a pets store for help on how to keep them and i hope she is safe :)

I would contact a vet, but perhaps another bird would cheer her up
