I want to be a vet tech but I was wondering what kind of jobs do they do at vet clinics? What is the pay and how long do you have to go to school to do it? What are some good schools I could go to in the North East US area? Thanks!!

it's normally 2yr program for an associated degree.
they do everything except surgery. they administer anesthesia as long as the vet is in their.
go to your local vet and ask them if you can follow one around for the day. they will usually under stand

Just go to Vet school!
Vet techs (at least here) are very low pay considering you have to go to school for 4 years.

They draw blood, give injections, make appts. Be prepared to clean cages, too. And some animals come in vomiting or with diarrhea, you have to take stool samples. Make sure you can deal with that.
