Pro-Illegals are wanting as many people to come here as possible. If the U.S. refuses to let Mexicans into the U.S. illegally, then would this force the people of Mexico to change thier goverment ?

If you look into the past history of America, their was alot of violence and bloodsheed that happened, until we achived our goals of a free nation. I belive Mexico needs to live out these events, and by simpley letting them into the U.S. we are intern allowing the coruption of the Mexician goverment remain.

Mexico has the power to take care of its people, but it would prefer to force them to America, to help build their economy.

I am pro-amnesty BUT I completely agree with what you have posted.........

I certainly agree that Mexico needs to take care of its own and completely overhaul a corrupt government that pimps out its problems elsewhere BUT I also feel this should have been a MAJOR ISSUE decades ago. Now after years and years of allowing illegals to enter without a backward glance FROM US....they are suddenly the only reason we struggle in America. They are suddenly vilified by a country that "honestly" didn't give a crap before it became a political agenda.

This is one of the reasons I can't jump on the "I hate all illegals" bandwagon. I think we need to secure the border, stop the flow, grant amnesty with stringent guidelines concerning (health care, aid and education).

Oh and I don't think that many people who want amnesty "want as many people here as possible".......that is silly.....oh and we also realize not ALL "illegals" are from Mexico.

Mexico needs to get it's act together, but bad conditions by themselves don't cause revolutions. Otherwise you'd see them in North Korea long before you would see them in Mexico. So I don't think closing the border would force reform.

I'm sure the Mexicans who come illegally would ideally rather stay in their own country. But the idea of fighting in a revolution and possibly dying in order to effect uncertain change is understandably not appealing. Thus the come to the US for work, to better their lives rather than sacrifice them. What would you do? I would do the same.

Yes, Mexico should work on their government and provide employment and health care for their citizens. To be pro-illegals mean that you agree with others breaking the laws for what they say are good reasons. There is no good reason to break the law. If there was then I would be pro-homeless bank robbers. Homeless people are hungry and in need of shelter and food. We would throw a homeless bank robber in jail if his excuse was I wanted to get money to feed my family and live a better life. Where are our morals? We don't have to support racist people who hate all Mexicans. Mexican citizens and residents are law abiding. The ones that should be sent home are the ones who disregard our immigration laws and jump the borders. we should bring them back and have them jump back over. If your child steal something, are you going to support it. If you do then that is what is wrong with this country. We have a country without morals and respect for the hard work of its citizens.

We are just delaying Mexico's revolution. Our government thinks that ignoring the political shift to the left happening in Latin America will present a miracle cure for Mexico.

They are robbing both mexico's and America's future. The school systems down south are forced to pay an astronomical amount of $$ to educated illegal aliens. I believe that they are called "Illegal Aliens" for a reason, and we should not be forced to support them.

Uh .. huh ... amnesty for those who are here now ... which will lead to more illegals coming across the border ... and then we will have more cries for amnesty for those who are here now ...followed by more border incursions ... on and on it goes ... we all know the borders won't be secured, not by this administration anyway ... and how many amnesties have there been? Plenty, and I mean plenty ... always with the same old tired argument ....

America is a safety valve for surplus Mexican population. Unfortunately, their population is growing much faster than their economy. Until this changes, it's better for everyone if we take in the extra workers.

The philosophical question of the day! No robbing going on, history IS, and that is all. It's more like wishful thinking.

Sqwirlgirl pretty much hits on the nail, in the real sense of your question.

I think it'll make Mexico take a good look at their state of affairs and address the issues.
