i don't know you or your circumstances, but here are some things to think about:

what is it that she has always wanted to do(or go or have) but didnt or couldnt?

hopefully, you have really been LISTENING to what she has been saying she wants -- this is SO much more meaningful than what YOU think she wants.

personally, i recommend a getaway (cruise, bed and breakfast, etc.)
it has been my/our experience that these trips are PRICELESS! and it CAN be done on a small budget (personal experience).

once you decide what to do or buy and you don't have the cash, get a temporary part-time job to get it ( i did, it was worth it), whatever it takes because if you have made it ten years, she deserves it. good luck brother.

Oh, you are such a dear, dear husband for asking this! Hurray from all the other wives! My husband isn't great with gifts, so for the first time, prior to our 10th anniversary, I really started hinting that it was traditional to get a ring (I actually wanted an eternity ring). Usually hints don't work with him, but this did. I didn't get an eternity ring, but a beautiful chevron-type ring which looks amazing with my wedding and engagement ring. I don't know how he picked out something so great, but it was just wonderful. We girls need something special and tangible on such a big anniversary - which the 10th is these days.

Depending on your budget, here are some ideas:
1) Romantic trip for 2.. need not be out of the country, could be to a cute bed and breakfast in the country.
2) A ring/charm to symbolize your 10th year

A picture of you and her 10 years ago with maybe a heart pendant around the frame and on the back of the pendant you could have inscribed "You have my heart today just as much as you did ten years ago. Happy Anniversary. signed born2damromantic

how about a second honeymoon! get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. leave the kids with the grandparents.

it doesn't even have to be exotic... i'm sure she would even appreciate a bed and breakfast weekend at the next state over!

traditionally you get tin or aluminum for the 10th anniversary but today in modern times it is more likely diamond jewelry.
