Not the first thing, but here is a really easy recipe called
Busy Day Cobbler

1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 cup milk
1 large can sliced peaches with liquid
1/4 cup sugar (additional)
1 Tbsp. cinnamon

Pour melted butter into 8 by 11 inch baking dish. In bowl combine flour, 1/3 cup sugar, baking powder, salt and milk. Pour over batter but do not stir. Over this pour sliced peaches, and most of the liquid ( I usually leave about an inch of liquid in the can, or it makes the dessert to moist.). Sprinkle peaches with cinnamon and additional sugar. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Good served warm with ice cream.

French Toast in 6th grade cooking class.
You probably know the recipe, but I like to add some vanilla to my eggs before I dip the bread.

My FIRST attempt at making spaghetti....me and Chef Boy R De opened a box of spaghetti w/ sauce. It was okay but I have improved it over the last 30+ years by learning I don't NEED "the Chef in a box" anymore.
