Like most men, as selfish as we are, he too wants his cake and eat it too.
So if you want to keep getting rejections then hang around and wait "till he has a change of heart", which will never happen, or you could think of his as history and go find someone else who loves you the way you really need to be. There is always someone out there. You just have not met him yet.
Don't settle for the 2nd best.

Probably just not ready for a relationship again. My ex is the same. Neither of us want to get back together...but the attraction and all is there and could flare up again in the future. Just not now. Just be friends with your ex for now. Don't do anything ridiculous like have sex w/ him though...will cause problems.
