Our pub manager swears his Cornish Pasties are the genuine article. "You can only get Cornish Pasties from Cornwall, my old son, I have 'em flown in". Now I know he's taking the pi$$. Isn't he?

The original ones are made in Cornwall but they are sent to other places so he may be telling the truth.
An original Cornish pasty (like the ones the world famous Phelps make has meat on one side and the veg at the other & the meat is not grey but proper meat. If the pasties have greyish meat and have the veg & meat mixed all the way through then they are not made in the traditional way

Proper decent cornish pasties are best from cornwall. Eaten on a beach with sand in them. Honest!
You can get cornish pasties anywhere, but they do make the best in cornwall. And yes, you can have them delivered.

I don't think he's taking the piss. I've heard that the name 'Cornish Pastie' is copyrighted or something like that, and there is only one place that can officially call itself the home of the Cornish Pastie (it's not Ginster's).
If it's truly Cornwall or not, I can't say. If you find out, let us know please :-)

well Ginster ships its pasties and sandwiches nationwide (not that they are that great), but yeah of course you can only get genuine cornish pasties from cornwall. But then I think you can get just pasties which are no less inferior.
