Are the laws in NV the same as with a "real" boat? It seems like more of a toy than a motorized boat.

yES ABSOLUTELY every boat has to have life jackets.aboard, and the more a toy boat the better the jackets!
Now some inflatables..Avon, Zodiac Carib... are just as good as a solid boat.......I've taken my Avon miles and miles in marginal conditions....some inflatables...like what you might get from Wal Mat...with the really thin plastic fabric...are diasters waiting to happen.
If you havent taken a safe boating course from the US Power Squadron ( www.usps.org) you relally should....theyre great and have all the rules state by state....

i would think you don't have to have life vests on board; it isn't a registered water vehicle

YES - all watercraft vessles need lifejackets
