Gidget : Yes , they are allowed to express themselves, and they did... Them discrasing the flag told all of us Americans what they thought of us ... and that is why it is so offensive.

I agree with you. This is some serious BS. If you don't like the way things are done here, then why the hell did you come in the first place. If they don't like it here they can go home shut the f#*k up. Every one of them involved in the flag incedents should have been arrested and sent back. Come in the right way or get deported!

OH YEAH! If you can't speak english don't expect me to learn spanish. We speak english in the USA, deal with it.

Government is more worried about getting the vote than it is in "Government for the people by the people..."
It doesn't have a clue as to what is really going on with the citizens in this country and don't really give a damn as long as they can keep their perks and political seats.
They vote for themselves huge raises when we are in a war costing us billions of dollars and could plausibly be dragged into another. I doubt the Mexicans are going to enlist
Political correctness has gone way overboard. Freedom is earned, not a given right. It came at a huge cost to this country and is still being paid for every day. There comes a time when we should stand up for ourselves and seeing that we have earned that right through citizenship, taxes, military, education, medicine, the death of our soldiers, and sheer hard work, that time is now. Enough. Let's not get so open minded that all our brains fall out. I am sick of this country being bled dry in the name of democracy.

Offend me is an understatement--Piss me off is more like it--This is been going on sence about March..check out my blog you will see..I am very passionate about this--I have no problem as most americans if you come here, follow the process, but then second you start to be a discrase to our country is the day you need to pack your bags and remember why it is you came here to begin with.

Yes, I was quite offended, May 1st was Americas wake up call....they were allowed to disgrace this country because they are free to do so...because they live in the greatest country on earth....
What would have happened to Americans doing that in Mexico??(role reversals) Think the Mexicans would have stood by and let that happen....I seriously doubt it!!!

Yes it upsets me. I'm for allowing citizenship, not for putting down America. It also upsets me that a lot of Americans did not show pride for their country until after the 9/11 attacks.

Yars, I'm more upset about you starting to curse!

I usually read the answers of a few like Dars, Yars, pancha, gokart, Mrstomp, who actually have something to say. Yar's answer surprised me because this is old news.

To answer the question, it would have been less caustic if they had not used it in their marches, but all the same, the flag itself is not offensive to me outside of that scenario. In Phoenix it's visible enough to ignore it after a while.

Yes and no. I want them all to go home, and I agree with your points, but also you may not realize that the US Constitution protects them while they are here, too.

That's why they must be apprehended AT THE BORDER, not once inside the U.S. They are not protected at the border. A big huge fence would help.

A bittersweet realization?

Yes this offends me. I’m offended by small minded people who have nothing better to do then fret over small mined problems.

The market demands illegal aliens. Literally millions of home owners and small businesses are using these people intentionally to do chores and labor at cheap wages. We are not going to stop illegal aliens any more then we are going to stop drugs and prostitution. As long as the market demands it they will be there.

But the real tragedy is this:

The munchkins of America are wetting their pants over issues like flag burning, immigration and gay marriage, While completely disregarding the fact that we are loosing the American Middle class. http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-extremes23jul23,0,2317971.story?coll=la-home-headlines

Worrying about these issues is like worrying about the rust spots on the hull of the Titanic as it’s going under.

The trade deficit is beyond our ability to contend and getting bigger. Our National Debt is in the trillions and the budget deficit isn’t going away. We are embroiled in wars based on lies and the munchkins are scurrying as fast as they can to give up their rights because of some misguided notion that we will gain security. Freedom is not earned in this country… it is a right. Read the constitution if you don’t believe me.

With the housing market at an incredible high, home purchasing is quickly getting out of the reach of the normal person. Especially with interest rates rising. And it is now just about the time that rents will start increasing.

Poverty is growing and Companies are claiming they can’t afford to help in retirement in spite of record profits. So people must afford it themselves. And the Munchkins are cheering, while demanding privatization of social security.

A 25 year old today who retires at 67 with a million dollars has a problem. You can only expect about a 6% return to live on from that million dollars. That makes it about $60,000/year at today’s dollars. By the time the 25 year old turns 67, it will only have the spending power of $16,700/year (almost $1400/mo before taxes). How many of the munchkins are going to be able to generate 1 million dollars from fica deductions… not many
The worse news is at 67, that’s when you start using the money and that’s when it stops growing. While you continue to live and inflation continues to eat away at it until it only generates the spending power of $9000/year at age 87 (that’s $750/month).

We are cutting spending on education so that no one can afford college but the rich, and we are trying to destroy modern science by refusing to do stem cell research and claiming adam and eve magically popped up out of the dirt to play with dinosaurs. We are producing less engineers then the rest of the industrialized world and we are out sourcing jobs as fast as we can. We have pulled the old tobacco scientists back out of mothballs to tell the munchkins we need to lower pollution standards and global warming is just a normal cycle without ever discussing the details.

Companies are saying they can’t afford to give medical insurance without putting more of that burden on us too. And the munchkins are cheering higher premiums, co-pays and deductibles. While all the while service is being reduced.

We are being encouraged by the same companies that don’t want to help us, to purchase their products by using their easy terms. We are borrowing on credit cards and home equity as fast as we can.

The munchkins are cutting the taxes for the wealth as quickly as possible so they can get their $600 piece of the pie.

I earn over $100,000/year, my medical is virtually free, I have a house that is almost paid for and no other debt. And I have a large investment portfolio. I will be ok, no matter what the munchkins do,

What about you? Don’t you think you have bigger problems then illegal immigration. Or an American flag flown as a distress siginal?

while the munchkins are debating these shallow simplistic problems, the are ignoring the real ones.
