i'm gonna be a "frosh" this aug. and i wanted to know what past freshemn wish they new b4 they became freshemn. an wat TO do as a freshemn and how to b cool?

High School is tough and there is really no set way to be "popular". It seems like the more that you don't care about popularity, the more popular you are. Just try and make friends with everyone..no matter who they are and where they come from. You will be popular if you are kind to everyone and make sure that if you are one of the ones that do obtain the popularity that you want, don't be mean to the kids that aren't. Remember that they want to be popular just as much as you did!

Be yourself and don't conform to anybody els's standards or you wont have any when you graduate and go on from there. People are more abt to want to know the real you. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Get to know as many people as you can, some will become close friends and others will at least know you and won't think of you as an outcast as much.
If you are teased or froshed / take it in stride - smile and do not get angry. This is just a sign that others are welcoming you into the fold. Only get angry if it involves illegal activity or someone is seriously hurt.
Respect others opinions but be willing to help when needed.
Get involved with as many activities as you can handle without going overboard. Do not sign up for things just to be popular tho unless you can handle it.
High School can either be the worst or the best time in your life.. It is up to YOU to make it happen.

High school is so much better than middle school because usually there are more kids and there are less cliques...or several of each so there's not ONE popular group but maybe several of them. The number one way, though, to be cool....is to play it cool. And what I mean is: RELAX! It's the people who TRY to be funny, or TRY to be witty, or TRY to be noticed that wind up looking like dorks. The other thing is this: think before you speak. It's always okay to not answer within a millisecond of a question or something someone else says. Lastly, hygiene!!!

Nothing to it. Just be yourself, go to class and get your education, play sports if you can. The boys will automatically be attracted to you. Be a leader dont fall into the peer pressure traps and do things that you really dont want to do. Being cool is being true to yourself and your REAL friends. There are different ways to be popular, im not going into all of them but be known and recognized for doing good things.

Just be yourself and don't succumb to peer pressure. Don't do anything that you don't want to do unless you have to. You can go out and have fun but remember to keep up with your work and keep your grades to the best you can do. If you'd like to make more friends try joining some clubs that interest you and playing sports that interest you.
Remember: As long as you have friends that you like and that like you, you are popular.

Try hard in every class, study, do your homework, have fun, and most importantly, be yourself. I'm in 11th grade and, trust me, nobody cares about popularity in my school... everyone is in their own clique and once you're there, you're there until you leave. Don't do drugs, smoke, or drink. That is plain stupid. Don't give in to peer pressure.
Just enjoy it! My first 2 years of high school went by waaay too fast.

When you get older you will realize that the best thing you could have done in High School was not to try so hard. You want to be yourself, not fake.

Hang out with the hottest guy in the skool ! try to look special ! dont stick with the same clothes or hair style ! and the most important thing be ur self !

its a big plus to be popular if ur have beauty.. yee true, ... high school is a big part of growing up.. having happy & sad times,more fun, more excitement, more friends, more crushes,knowing the value of studying, learning new things & being strong from our failures & mistakes.
