Because you don't have to give a damn about pleasing the other person and there's zero commitment.
Relationships take time to find, and a lot of work to keep up. Not everyone wants to do that, or is capable of doing it well.
Clearly our bodies were meant to experience sexual pleasure, so casual sex allows that release.
Just be safe. It's a very dangerous world out there, and....even casual sex can wound a vulnerable heart or spirit.

It's not. It's dangerous. Sure it can seem like fun, but as a woman, I know that if I have sex, there's nothing casual about it. I have a void that I am trying to fill at that moment. Maybe I want to feel wanted. Maybe I want to feel close to a man. Maybe I want to relieve stress. There's always a reason. Casual sex leaves you feeling used and alone. I have opted for celibacy because I want to be loved emotionally and then physically. I don't want to share myself with a man who doesn't truly care for me. He doesn't deserve me and I deserve more. It took me a while to reach this point, but I am here now and I'm glad. Sure, I get horny sometimes, but it passes. When the right man comes along, I'll put it on him and our relationship will be much more than casual.
