First of all weed was not meant to be smoked. There are alot of natural elements that people mis-use. Second, I am really happy that you have a Jesus High now, instead of a drug High. That is awesome. I'm sure you can be an encouragement to others who have a substance abuse problem. Power to you!

The "evil and corruption" you speak of in regards to marijuana and the illegal aspect of organized crime surrounding it could be easily, easily alleviated by decriminalizing it or legalizing it and taxing it heavily, like tobacco. Decriminalizing it, would mean that having it or smoking it or growing it is not a crime.

This would virtually eliminate the organized crime factor. However, it probably won't happen. Why? Not because it's a sin or evil (it's not, it is just a plant, how people use it is their business, like tobacco) but because of money.

There are established corporations which would lose money big time if hemp and marijuana were legalized. Hemp can be used to make clothing and paper and many other products which would put many currently established industries, such as pulp and paper for example, in dire financial jeapardy. And since the multi-millionaire corporations control the government, it will never happen.

It has NOTHING to do with sinning, and everything to do with the pockets of the rich!

if you care to know, hemp is a plant that reproduces by its seed from plants that are distinctly male or female. In GEN 1:29 God identified that type of plant to be food for man.
As for brain damage, if you had done any independent research you'd know that the 1970 monkey study that concluded marijuana causes brain damage was so badly flawed that no researchers would validate his methodology or conclusions. A little side fact for you, it took a 2 year court battle just to get the government to release the methodology used in the study, all the pro-marijuana studies that I'm aware of have openly sought peer review and willingly offer up the details of their methodology.
I strongly recommend that you delve into the information available, read what you can and make up your own mind rather than repeating data that has been proven incorrect.
here's something else to consider, THC staying in your system for up to 30 days. It's not hard for your body to purge it but it doesn't because it does not consider it a toxin. to the contrary, your brain has specific receptors for cannabiniods.
Knowledge is power.

I'm with the legalization team.

The only reason,as stated before, for the gov. (US) to miss out on this potentially huge tax base are the corps. that stand to loose money.

The only (US) legal highs are alcohol and pharmaceuticals. Beer is a multi-billion dollar industry, and the doctors get a cut for pushing pills. Commercial television draws large revenues from both of these conglomerates advertising, and beer finances professional sports.

The wasted court, jail, social services, police, drug czar and DEA revenues could be used towards efforts that are not in vain.

Pot was in the bible, the wise men gave it to Mary after she gave birth. They called it Myrrh. As in Myrrh-g-wanna.

St. John was smoking something when he wrote revelations, or maybe they had some good shrooms on that island. Whore of the world on the back of the seven headed great beast, four bad *** horsemen, Jesus only taking a 144K souls with him, peace for a thousand years....com'on, take ur head outta your rectum for a minute and think rationally for just a second of your life.

Have an epiphany on me.

weed hasn't hurt my brain yet and caffeine is more addicting than weed so why does Jesus allow caffeine 2 be used in soda and coffee?? alcohol kills brain cells too and cigarrettes give u lung cancer so should that be outlawed too? people overdose on aspirin all the time yet no one has OD on weed and why?? cuz its impossible you would have 2 smoke 900 joints consecutively in one day to overdose so why doesn't Jesus just ban aspirin too!!!!
