Christians Read this~?
Why do we try so hard to change other people, show them the righteous way. We Judge others, call them homosexuals, liberals, ungodly. You know who you are. But when someone looks into your character and find a worse sin, you tell them "who are u to judge" Lets look into ourselves. Where is the love and undying compassion that jesus tought us. Where is the tolerance and grace that we admire and serves as the roadmap to our beliefs.
Lets stop to criticize others. LEts stop looking at the Homosexuals, and Muslims, the liberals and the ungodly as enemies. LEts take the plank out of our own eyes and fallow jesus the way he intended. Lets treat everyone with Love and compassion. Only in this way will we be able to make a real change. Lets start being the light that jesus wanted us to be. Lets be an example to all and then with love can we help them overcome their shortcomings. This is the way it must be, lets start our mission to bring to all Gods Kingdom!

It is highly unlikely we can bring any to Gods Kingdom. God Calls ,
God Justifies, we as Christians are to be examples, and helpers not Recruiters. God gave Jesus twelve disciples and one of them had a Demon. Jesus knew this and still remained a friend ,and example of what a Child of God should be like.

No one should try to change people, you are right. We are all human and sin and have shortcomings, each and every one of us. We do not always "intentionally" judge but becasue we are human and are full of sin we do.
We should all pray to change ourselves from this behavior rather.

As I have been watching the current news about Israel and Lebanon and Hezbollah, I just pray for the ALL involved. Not any one side. I do not judge the ones who are shooting missles or the ones who are not. I pray for ALL the people.

We can only be the Light that Jesus wants us to be if one lets the spirit work through them.

I will say that yes, treat everyone with love and compassion and always be the light Jesus wants us to, but only if you wish to. It is up to each person to accept Jesus. We are not in control of that nor should we judge if they are not. We ALL have shortcomings and should only be concerned with you own soul. If someone wants help yes, we will help them, and try to if we have the spirit guide us some how, but praying for everyone is the first place to start. God Bless you.

We are called to share the Gospel, be prepared to give an answer when anyone asks about the hope inside us and defend the faith. We are called to judge actions and attitudes, to call sin what it is, sin. Of course, if I am engaged in a sin that I call someone else on, I am being hypocritical, then I should remove the beam from my eye so I may remove stick from anothers eye. "Tolerance and grace", grace yes, tolerance? Can you show book, chapter and verse where that term is ever used? It is a codeword from the world to turn a blind eye to sin.
Love and compassion is not a gooshy, everything is okay thing. If someone was engaged in an activity or practice that was leading them on the road to Hell, wouldn't it be loving and compassionate of me to point that out? Or should I allow them to continue down that road, not wanting to hurt their feelings? We are called to be light and salt. By being a light, we shine in the darkness, bringing to light that which is hidden. We can help them overcome their "shortcomings" by calling sin, sin, and showing them the way to forgiveness, hope and salvation. Anything short of that is neither loving nor compassionate.

It is so wonderful have some one with an open minds. We are humans and for that instance we are siners, and we are not perfect, God smiles when we try and do our best to be better and help and love others. We are to love everyone even the ungodly ones, we are not to judge or point fingers, or even say which religion is better, or who is more spiritual than the other, we are here to help others who lost their way, not by telling them what to do because if God gave us free will, we cant interfere with that.

Sigh, I don't know why people think ALL Christians are one way. I have so many friends who aren't of my religion, and I never try to change them. The problem comes when people start getting defensive because I say "No, I don't curse, it's not what I believe in.." and they think I think I'm so much better than them. There would be no problemo if everyone would stop being so crazy over religion differences. When it comes down to it, we all live on one earth, and we are all wondering what the heck is going on outside of the earth, but all we can do is guess based on our life and experiences. But just by you asking this question, it makes you kind of prejudiced because you singled out Christians when other people do it to, and how do you think "real" Christians feel when people do this? It makes us feel like outcasts. Just because I think what some people do is wrong doesn't make me go around saying "you are going to hell".... That's just not me, you know? Contact me and let me know what you think....

Thank you for the reminder.

I agree that we should do our best to treat others with love and compassion, as we share the love of Christ.

Having said that, Christians are to be salt in a society -- i.e., we are to be the conscience (in a sense) of society.

There are elements of society that will be offended by that -- and that can not be helped.

It is relevant to note that Jesus was not a wimp when it came to calling people to turn away from sin...

A Christianity that stands for Nothing, will fall for Anything

... (and that is what we are seeing today with the fall of parts of Christendom which refuse to take a moral stand on anything).

Bottom-line: I agree with you, with a caveat (as above).

Cordially,
John

screw that, bring back the Inquisition, we can show these sinners what it means to mock the lord with their evil ways. Burning a few witches would not hurt and would liven up the Sunday sermons, and put the fear of the lord into the doubters hearts. As for the satanist heretical atheists we can flog them within an inch of their pitiful unfulfilled lives and boil them in oil like so many dunking donuts, that will make them repent and get their souls well warmed up for their rapid trip to Hell

Amen!!!

However, not necessarily the groups you mentioned in your questions, but we are supposed to rejecty ungodly people....

However, rejecting those people does not mean being mean to them. We are supposed to love our neighbors. When other point out our sins, we get annoyed, thinking that we are perfect because we are saved, but that is not so. Do not be judgemental, but do not be upset when you are judged. Christians are God's people, but we are in no way superior to anyone.

LOVE AND FORGIVE!!! Thats the real message!!!

God bless!!!

You bring up many good points, my friend. You represent a very slow movement toward a place of peace and understanding...and it will take many...not just one. My heart is gladdened by the increasing awareness of the Love I have seen and felt by many. Many wonderful things will take place as a result. I have evolved very quickly within a space of a few days...perhaps hours...and it cannot be accurately measured. I am now aware of a new purpose in Life...and I am so humbled by my participation of it...and by others who reach out toward a deeper understanding of something far greater themselves. The best part is we may continue to be who we are...with humor...and our imperfections in final recognition that all is as it should be. May peace be with you.

rather, let's be available to deliver the Good News of God's kingdom.
It has never been our assignment to Love everyone, other than to deliver thisd message.
God indeed does hate the sinner. But will (as the prodigal son story shows) run to great the sinner that turns away from sin.
Also, it is not our job to treat people with disdain, as that is sitting in judgement.
